Every person I came in contact with other than my nurse was not friendly, very short with me, lacked eye contact, and even the one drawing my blood had headphones in where I could hear that she was listening to either a podcast, book, or was on a phone call with someone. Very disappointed in the service as doctor’s offices can often be triggering and I felt very unwelcome and unheard. I was grateful that my nurse was kind, friendly, and was a great listener!

I used to love going to this office for blood work and annual physical exams as its closer to my house and they had good service.

Lately I noticed bad billing practices from this provider, as I feel some of the services they have provided as part of the annual physical exam were charged separately as a separate office visit and I raised a complaint against this billing practice. Hope it wont happen in the future!

Dr. Thompson is a great doctor. He takes the time to consider all medical questions, and addresses multiple considerations at once. His office staff is also excellent. Easier to reach via their online portal versus calling in.

As part of annual health checkup, if you reply any questions from doctor ,they will charge you separately as regular visit without informing patient. Even they will never call back to discuss about your reports of annual health checkup. Annual health checkup up is just collecting blood for them.

Marion was seen by her new PCP Micaela and her able medical assistant, Kenneth, at Avance Health Care in Morrisville. Courtney is now a welcome member of the team.
We also enjoyed being assisted with our check-in by Keloni, Lexus and Sterling. Each is very professional and caring to everyone who enters the facility.
The visit and results were documented in My Chart the same day. Marion has a new breathing machine and with other recommendations she is on her way to healing.

Sehr Hafiz is by far the best doctor I've ever had, and she recently saved my life. Back in February, I came into the office due to increased heartbeat, and passing out. I thought it was stress/anxiety related (work, school, etc.). She could have easily prescribed some medication for anxiety and sent me on my way. But, she declined and decided to have me wear a heart monitor for 14 days. It turns out that I had Ventricular Tachycardia that was causing dangerous irregular heartbeats. I was admitted into the hospital right away and had multiple procedures done including having an ICD device placed in my chest. The cardiologist told me that it was a miracle that I was sill alive. And if I had waited any longer, I probably would have suffered cardiac arrest. Had Sahr not went the extra mile to find the route cause of my illness, I would not be here today. Thank you Sahr! I am forever grateful!

I normally do not give bad reviews on any place as I think a lot of experiences can be subjective, however, I have had consistent negative experiences with this clinic and medical practice is something I think people should have informed awareness on when deciding where to go. It saddens me to have to write this especially for a more local business, but when it comes to medical health, I think this clinic has been consistently irresponsible and borderline negligent in a way that is dangerous and potentially expensive for their patients. For some background, this has been my family doctor since I was a small toddler and I am currently entering my 20s. My family and I were very satisfied for the majority of our time with them, but in the last few years, the practice has depreciated drastically. For some examples, I once cut my foot open and was bleeding out when I was young. The nurses and doctors had no idea what they were doing and left me there to bleed into a bucket, and it was my own mother (who has no formal medical experience other than being a mother) who had to direct them to raise my foot above my heart and apply pressure to stop the bleeding. Another experience was when I was dying in a hospital across the country with multiple organ failure, and the doctors needed my vaccination history in order to properly diagnose and treat me. For an entire week, nobody could get ahold of Avance Care through any means of communication (phone, email, etc.) My parents had to fly from California all the way back to North Carolina just to get a copy of my records. My condition was SEVERELY worsened by this wait period all because of dangerously poor communication on their end, which is not something that a reliable practice would ever do to their patients. In the last few weeks, I was misdiagnosed with an STD and upon speaking with my doctor, she kept pushing for me to be on birth control. I had already discussed with her multiple times over multiple appointments (pretty much none of them even having been about sexual health, yet she brought it up every time) that birth control was not something I had any interest in taking, and she continuously remained very pushy and judgmental over the fact that I didn't want to use it. Overall, my experience with them has been poor, uncomfortable, and difficult. I would personally recommend UNC (or Carolina Primary care down the road if you're looking for something more local), who has a greatly accessible and vast team of doctors and networks as well as specialists who truly care and put a lot of effort into their patients. I understand that these bigger corporations attract more skilled practitioners, which can leave places like Avance Care with a lesser quality of care, but there is still a certain level of medical care that a person deserves that I think Avance Care at this time has been incapable of delivering.
