Use to be a 5 star business with amazing family roots and customer service treated you like family. That all changed December 27, 2023. My family had been co owners of the business for 60 plus years. The business was sold to ag pro and the entire business was changed from a family owned feed and seed store, to a hunting store that no longer is like the old days.

Walked in because it says gardens, and feed on the building. I was instantly shocked at how empty the store was. Didnt really see too much as far as gardening goes, and as for the feed…. Where was it? I was expecting to see veriety, or even bags of whole grain.. but i didnt. Unimpressed, and misleading signage.
Anyone know where i can find 50# bags of whole grains for chicken feed around thomasville?

Love this hardware store reminiscent of days gone by. Personal assistance and good products! My hope is the community of Thomasville will better support this special place. We need them. Don't let big box stores replace this type of gem!

My friend purchased a few bails of pine straw there this AM, and I was very impressed. The bails were the tightest packed I have ever seen. They would not come apart without cutting the strings

Great customer service! The owners are usually there, I enjoy doing business with local folks. I've been going to Golden Brothers Feed Co. since I was a small child, when they were located on Smith Ave. closer to Broad Street. Daddy and I would go to get Hog Feed and I could always get a belly washer soda in the bottle, ice cold, out of their 35 cents Coke-a-Cola machine. Customers could buy feed buy the pound in bulk. It was simply a feed and seed warehouse, with saw dusted, feed scattered, dirt tracked floors. I loved the smell of the hay piled in the corner of the old wooden warehouse.
This day...it is still as charming, Beautiful selection of bird feeders and wind chimes. The staff are always knowledgeable and helpful to sell you what you NEED, without pushing any extras

The best store ever they go out of their way to make sure I have what I need for the horses. Old fashioned country store service where you are not just a customer you are an important part of their day. Stop by and see you will not be disappointed.
