I can’t speak highly enough of this Dogtopia location and team. They have cared for my pup from day one when we became members as if she was their own, and always with such kindness to me every day always.
The establishment is extremely clean, team is always friendly to everyone they encounter, and also there on call help with a very fast response time and great communication.
I’ve relied on their daycare for most weekdays, also over the weekend as needed, and fully trust them to keep my pup overnight too.
Every time we pull up mine is happy to arrive and see her friends, human and dog.
Highest of praise to the team at this Dogtopia for their work and dedication to the best of care.

Mira had her meet and greet at Dogtopia of Lake Oswego and was able to attend daycare. The facility was clean and the staff was nice. Mira is a little anxious around other dogs but was able to adjust well. We were happy with her care and glad she was able to spend the day playing.

If you are thinking of taking your dog here. DO NOT!!!

If you are looking for a place to take your dog while you are out of town. Find a dog training place that offers boarding. If you are needing somewhere for your dog during the day. Find a smaller doggie daycare who actually lets your dog outside.

Here your dog is crated at night, let out in the morning where they poop and pee on the floor. Poop is just picked up, pee is wiped up with a mop that is sitting in water that is nasty. Who knows the last time it was changed. So many opportunities for your dog to get sick from the lack of cleanliness and disinfectant.

Most locations don’t have a store manager and employees have little to no training. Do what’s best for your pup and find a smaller doggie daycare place that actually cares for your dog.

We absolutely love Dogtopia in LO! Cooper gets super excited when we get anywhere close to the building and knows exactly where the door is. He is super tired at the end of the day (thank goodness). We love the photos they do!!

For context, our baby is our one and only fur child, whom we adore and only want the best for. Dogtopia provides him with enrichment and socialization in a responsible and compassionate setting. Their staff is knowledgeable on canine behavior, and they have a structured protocol for making sure each dog has a great experience. When I peek in on the webcams to watch him frolic about, the staff are interacting and checking on each dog constantly. Our kiddo has a blast, and the proof is in the pudding when he runs in without a second glance back at us when he is dropped off. I want to thank the staff here for truly getting to know Tamlin, and giving him the experiences that builds his confidence each day.

Extremely Disappointing Experience at Dogtopia Lake Oswego – Avoid at All Costs!

We were loyal Dogtopia customers until our recent, deeply troubling experience boarding our dog, Walter, from January 29th through February 6th at the Lake Oswego location.

Upon check-in on the afternoon of January 29th, the staff was confused and unable to understand Walter’s valid, current veterinary documentation. I was told they were new and not trained to verify this information. After a long delay and at my suggestion, they finally called the veterinarian to confirm. I also requested that Walter be bathed before pick-up on the morning of February 7th, but the staff member assisting me never logged the request because they weren’t trained to handle the check-in process properly.

While we were out of the country, I sent a reminder email requesting Walter’s bath—no acknowledgment. On the morning of February 7th, I called to confirm I was on my way to pick him up. The person who answered told me they were new and didn’t know if Walter was ready. This raised immediate concerns, and I drove straight to the facility.

Upon arrival, the same staff member informed me they weren’t authorized to issue an invoice for Walter’s boarding. When I asked for a manager, I was told there wasn’t one on duty, and they didn’t know when one would be available. I also inquired about Walter’s food container and toy. After confusion and another delay, the staff member returned from the boarding area with his empty food container and toy. When I dropped him off, I had provided enough food portioned for ten days, but he was only boarded for eight days, including two half-days. Clearly, something was wrong.

Most concerning of all, Walter’s allergy tablets had not been administered per our instructions. When I brought him home, he was dirty, lethargic, and soon suffered from severe diarrhea.

If you love your pet, **do NOT take them to Dogtopia Lake Oswego.** This experience left us heartbroken and furious. The lack of training, poor communication, and neglect of basic care jeopardized our dog’s health and well-being. We will never return, and we urge other pet owners to avoid this location at all costs.

We used to love Dogtopia but they’ve gone sharply downhill over the last year. Our last three visits have resulted in severe respiratory illness, then misplaced belongings, and most recently a soiled bed that had been tossed in a pile with other soiled beds. Not to mention our dog has absolutely stunk the last couple of pick ups, leading us to believe they have seriously skimped on hygiene because this did not used to be a problem.

Our latest boarding experience was a 1 week stay and when my wife picked up our dog, they were unable to locate his bed. After a 15 minute search they found the bed, covered in vomit, in a pile of their “soiled beds”. They were unable to give a confident answer on when this happened, but at no point during the stay did they notify us that our dog got sick.

Unacceptable, dangerous practices that have completely lost our trust.

EDIT: Our dog developed conjunctivitis over night as well. Clearly hygiene is an issue here.
