I want to give it more stars because it is a beautiful open space but…

Every 10-15ft there is a giant crack across the paved trail which is quite jarring while riding and the weeds and stickers are thriving in them.

The trail is just over 4 miles each way. Mostly climbing on the way out and zippy on the way back. Lots of fun critters out and about: I saw my first NM tarantula, lots of cute little lizards, grasshoppers, and birds sharing the trail.

Beautiful area. Great for walking but given the length biking would be even more enjoyable. Nice fields and great views of the mountains. Good amount of parking too. Some doggy stations at the beginning of the park and a few benches throughout the path.

Nice quiet trail with my dogs. Perfect for cyclists. Please take / bring doggie poop bags with you. Enjoy the trail!

We love this bike trail! It is tough because there is a 715 elevation gain (feel the burn), but the ride back sure is fun!

I ride this beautiful trail quite often with my wife, and at times, the kids too. It’s right up the way from Boca Negra canyon and It’s paved from start to finish that takes you up and around the volcanos and has beautiful views of the mountains to the east and the volcanos to the west. There are plenty of dirt trails all over the area if you want to test yourself also. Once at the top, you are near Double Eagle airport and you can turn around and ride it back to the bottom or you can head due north to Paseo Del Norte and head east back toward Rainbow or Universe. I absolutely love this whole area and recommend it 100%

4 mile asphalt trail up to Atrisco Vista road then back down. Decent workout if you push, can also be very leisure like. Views of mountains and the city are beautiful backdrops.

Nice paved trail. Mostly uphill to volcanoes, so it's downhill back. I have ridden different times of year, times of day. It was fun to ride at night, it's really dark.
