I cannot thank him enough for his dedication and diligence and appreciate his timely response. Cannot recommend highly enough!

We will never use Coakley Brothers again. When our move became a two-step process, we could not get an updated quote. Calls not returned. E-mails not answered. By then it was too late to get another mover. Invoice did not reflect actual time utilized (as promised). "We only charge for the time used,"... right... We had to meet with them at their office to get an invoice showing time and supplies utilized. In the end we paid much more for our move than planned and more than other companies quoted. Communication goes a long way.

We paid to have our kitchen packed. The forgot several cabinets. We requested an indication on boxes of what was in them which did not happen... just boxes stating "kitchen." When we had our items delivered from the Coakley storage facility we found that boxes had been stacked with heavy boxes crushing lighter ones below. Items were broken. Kitchen boxes were so large with heavy items that we could not lift them. A critter accessed boxes to use for nesting materials...

The actual movers complained about how little they make per hour. If that is true, Coakley is making much profit off the backs of their employees and customers. Look elsewhere.

Using them was easy. The quote was reasonable. The movers were efficient and timely and friendly. The only slightly annoying thing is that they accidentally snapped two legs off my dresser, so now I have to figure that out which is frustrating. But moving cross states is bound to result in a small issue or two.

We hired Coakley Bros. in April 2023 to move us in the same neighborhood, about 4 blocks. They gave an initial quote, which I asked for a revised estimate with only large items included, as we moved a lot ourselves since it was a short move. We used them mainly for our furniture.

We paid the movers at the end of the move, the check was cashed, no communication otherwise, and then I get this random bill without any explanation a month later.

There were mistakes on our quote and the itemized receipt that they provided me only after I requested it. My quote did not include gas ($50 to move 4 blocks, and Coakley is across the street from our apartment) and it included “TV cartons” that we did not use because we moved 2 of the 3 TVs ourselves to avoid this charge. The response about the fuel charge: “I apologize regarding the fuel surcharge. The first estimate I sent you moving all your items had the fuel surcharge listed in the estimate. For some reason, the revised estimate didn’t have it listed.” This should not fall on the customer to realize that the quote was not including their fees.

Their response to me initially was that the movers shouldn’t have provided me with the final bill. Again, this should not be the customer’s problem, that is an internal problem.

They said they were going to look into things, and then never got back to me. I wrongfully assumed the issue was resolved. Nine months later, they email me the bill again with no other information. Nothing had been resolved after talking to multiple people. I haven’t received a response from Coakley Bros. at this point.

The movers were fantastic, they took less than 4 hours and were very professional. This was Coakley’s only saving grace. If it wasn’t for all of the issues with the billing I would be recommending them. It’s really unfortunate that they are taking advantage of people in their own community with hidden fees, as the move itself went very smoothly.

This is our second move with Coakley in the last year. Once again, we rate them five stars. Our sales executive Landon was always helpful and responsive - working to accommodate our needs. Our moving crew was topnotch - highly professional, careful yet efficient, hardworking, courteous. Led by Antoine - an all-star crew leader - the crew worked as a team, taking great care of our furniture, including a Steinway grand piano. So pleased with our experience!

The moving crew that packed and loaded was the same crew that delivered…very good continuity. Each crew member worked efficiently and effectively. Each crew member was pleasant, approachable, and very willing to respond to my every request. They took pride in their work and were completely professional!

The team of 4 guys that moved us was amazing! They were such hard workers, pleasant, respectful, and did a perfect job of protecting our homes and property during the moving process. On a 5 star scale I would give them a 6 - excellent service at a competitive price. Moving can be a hell-ish experience, but this crew actually made our moving day kind of fun. Coakley will be my go to moving company and I will recommend them every chance I get.
