This is an exceptional Kennel, Rod and Matt do a phenomenal job taking care of your dog! I use them regularly when we travel. They have boarded my dog Z for as long as a month and he always comes home happy and healthy. No doubt he loves being around them and is very excited to see them when I drop him off. This is the place to use for your dog! I would not trust anyone else to care for my dog Z. I always know when I drop him off he is in good hands. My highest recommendation.

I had a wonderful experience with A&K Kennels Yorkie dog breeder. From the start, we reserved our puppy online and received a call from Kevin, who provided helpful information and answered our questions. Throughout the waiting period, they sent us regular videos and pictures, keeping us updated. Any inquiries we had were promptly addressed.
When the time came, our puppy was delivered to us, along with a shot record. The breeder's attention to detail and commitment to their promises impressed us. They even included a small bag of recommended puppy food for our journey home.
Our new puppy is amazing! She is the sweetest and perfect companion. Everywhere we go, people stop us to admire her. Initially, I was skeptical about purchasing from an online breeder, but Kevin patiently answered all my questions and provided updates during the puppy's travel. I am beyond satisfied and wholeheartedly recommend this breeder.
Notably, our puppy is well-behaved, using peapads for potty training and sleeping through the entire night. Her behavior speaks volumes about the breeder's expertise. We are grateful for such a wonderful addition to our family.
Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish, and we are grateful to the breeder for their top-notch operation. We absolutely adore our new puppy and couldn't be happier!

We have been bringing our dogs to A & K Kennels for over 15 years regularly. Rodney always takes such good care of them. I know when they are there that we don't have to worry which is such a blessing! Here's a picture of one of our dogs Jasper.

Very happy with my pups stay at A&K Kennels this past week! I dropped them off last Saturday (2/22) and picked them up yesterday (3/1). Since i had a week long vacation i wanted to ensure both of my girls were taken care of. I have a 3 year old Boxer and a 5 month old German Shepherd and i can tell they were taken care of with love & kindness! Rob was very detailed in his steps for caring for my pups whenever i called to check in on them which made me feel so much better. I definitely recommend A&K Kennels over any boarding place in Richmond. No, they don’t have the big TV’s in each dog kennel and heated beds but at the end of it that isn’t what matters, it’s how well they were taken care of. Overall the kennel seemed very cleaned and organized, Rob and his staff seem to really be dog lovers!
Thank you A&K Kennels, we will definitely return!

We've used this kennel for going on 4 years now with our 2 dogs. They have great prices, they are very friendly, and we wouldn't take our dogs anywhere else I definitely would recommend this kennel to anybody!

Our dogs are SO happy when they stay here!! As soon as our car is within a mile or two, they freak out with joy, wagging their tails and practically smiling. When we pick them up after a long trip, they are invariably healthier and happier than when we left them. A&K is a bit out of the way, and they won't have "hotel" pet beds or extra frills if that's what you're looking for, but they are good people and take excellent care of our dogs. It's been our favorite kennel for over four years now.

A&K is fantastic. Our Brittany loves staying here when we go on a trip. The runs are good and clean. My wife is picky when it comes to our dog. She will only leave our dog with Rod. I totally recommend A&K for your dog boarding needs.
