This place is a joke! What help are they providing an addict who needs help if they don’t have person to person counseling ( not over phone) and threaten to withdraw help over stupid reasons! The staff is rude and acts entitled and not caring Merced needs to do better and get more help for addicts besides this place!

This place has gone down hill. It help save my life but now it’s a shell of what it used to be. I had 2 counselors in 8 years and now 4 in the last 2 years. The rotating staff members are rude and most counselors have no real world experience. It’s hard to relate to someone who’s never used and is 10+ years younger then you. The staff that have been there for years are great. They must really care because I can’t see a benefit to staying at that job. Cindy and jerica (probably spelled wrong) are awesome!

Newest edit they finally took the rest because I missed one more call from counselor and bottle check... I was like no way I always answer from you guys I even answer every private call now because you call from private numbers. So come to find our the very well trained front desk ladies put someone's new number on my profile. Pretty sure that'd a HIPPA violation and they still said I didn't answer and that it's my fault and took my bottles. But if I were to bring up the HIPPA thing then they'd probably kick me out of the clinic and I'd really be screwed. How does someone else's phone number different area code and all get put on my patient profile and it's somehow still my fault I missed those calls. I'm so done I hate the fact that they have so much control over a substance that has so much control over and individual and are not caring or care enough to understand. Some things yes but then it always has other issues. I can't even go to clinic manager I get the threats and false promises from her before. So I need to future out how to file HIPPA complaint.

Edit: year later and they changed until now. Its crazy they lie to Said i missed 27 calls in 90 days but they can only call once a week which is 12 weeks 12 calls but they haven't called every week and I've answered all calls except this last one. When I was dealing with family court and divorce. I even asked my counselor to contact me so I could talk about everything going on and the clinic manager not one of them contacted me. I haven't been in town with work then my ex took my kids and left 6 hours away. Then that is held against me. I'd choose my boys over making any appointment any day sorry bit to lose take homes and now have days where I won't have anything on me or be able to dose in clinic means I'll have to hit the streets. The way they handle people going through addiction wanting to use more because the issues in there life is ridiculous if there was a clinic closer or a different company then this hek even if it was further but a new company I'd try it at this point. Now I won't be able to get my take homes back because weekends I won't be coming in to dose I can't thats when I have to drive hours to get my sons and now I'm more lost dealing with this clinic then I was before I started the clinic. Ya I used but was functioning better then after joining the clinic. I mean the one constant was/is the clinic and counselor and help but they just whatever there client even when ive done everything to prove it. Maybe it's because I'm on medical not high paying insurance. I'm not sure but I even took one star away because it's all false promises unt a certain time. Last year they took one away or half this time which is even worse and more of an excuse and they take them all.

I wanted to give it more stars becauee until recently the last year or so its been amazing but now it's broken promises and threats. Sitting here in recovery promised my final take home back after I completed a task which I completed 3 weeks ago and when talking to the newer clinic manager she just threatens well I could hold it for longer or take more away instead of trying to be helpful to someone on the road to recovery. Saod is was too muh of a hassle to have my new counsellor put through the order right now which is literally her job... Posting this will probably get me even in more trouble and they'll take more away but since the management changing and the counselors changing all the time it's become all about making money not caring about the patients. Broken promises and threats is all this place brings. If I had a closer second possible clinic I'd be there in a heart beat. But this is what merced county gets stuck with.

Everybody here are all kind and considerate. The office is respectful of your needs and privacy. They've bent over backwards to make sure I have everything I need and that makes life much easier. Keeps the stress out of your life. I was stuck on opioids and just couldn't get off it without help. I finally found it here. Been coming nearly a year and I'll be finished in about 6 months at the rate I've been tapering off. No more panic attacks or vomiting. I'm working my way off slowly and man do I feel better. It's great having people care and not judge you for your weakness. Not once here has anyone made me feel weak or that I couldn't do it. So amazing. Thank you Aegis staff and thank you to my counselor, David. He's the best. 🥰

Saved my life...after 30 years of using heroin I'm sure I did not have much more time. My daughter was growing up with an absent parent and a mentally absent parent. My last resort was making the appointment at Aegis. I saw the Dr and got in. I was able to stop using right away. 8 months in my Mom died. I have never known.such pain....but I did not use. My counselor was there every step of the way with me. Also teaching me parenting without guilt and just living again
I have almost 6 years now...and I'm very grateful
The girls up front, nurse and doctors are great too. They all take the time to ask about my family and greet me by name. 5 stars isn't enough....

I love the staff the Doctor truly care not only that the other clinics are like an drug swap meet.Theres a zero tolerance policy here so dealers and drug seeking patients are not going to be here. I've been to them all. The staff are very beautiful inside and out I owe my life to this location. If you want methadone just to add on your list and plan to use go elsewhere.

This place has the most horrible staff I have ever encountered, they treat everyone poorly, sit on their phones, ignore you when you come in because their personal conversation is much more important than their job and the looks they give are just so disrespectful. Only go here if you absolutely have no other option because almost every single other place is better because they have DECENT staff other places. The only way they could improve this place is by hiring people that actually want to work and not just get paid to sit there with a dirty look on their face.
