We are incredibly grateful for the outstanding care our puppy Maple received at your clinic. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that your team is not only highly experienced and knowledgeable, but also genuinely compassionate and dedicated to the well-being of animals and their families.

The Veterinarian and Techs went above and beyond to provide thoughtful, thorough care, and we always felt informed and supported every step of the way. Every staff member — from reception to the techs — was warm, attentive, and clearly committed to making a difference.

We truly appreciate the time, patience, and expertise you’ve offered us. It made a stressful situation so much more manageable, and we left feeling reassured and cared for. Thank you for all that you do — it means more than words can express.

I brought my kitty Mochi in after our primary care referred us for possible foreign body ingestion. She spent two nights in the ICU with AERC and they took fantastic care of her, making sure she was comfortable and hydrated and eating, as well as managing her pain, while we waited for the object to pass. They were great about keeping me updated on her progress, and today she was able to come home happy and healthy

UPDATE to edit review: shortly after I posted this, my other cat went in for a bladder blockage. I am still incredibly happy with the actual care that he received. However, while we knew he'd need surgery on Friday, they don't do surgeries like that on weekends. So, because he was catheterized, they kept him for two extra days, which added quite a bit to my bill. This is a 24/7 emergency vet, imo there's no excuse to not do surgeries/have a board certified surgeon available on the weekends - and if that's the case, the pet owner shouldn't be charged for the extra days that the animal has to stay. Very frustrating when the visit was already incredibly expensive. I am much more understanding of delays due to other animals needing priority surgery spots, but simply not keeping staff available shouldn't be my cost to deal with.

I wasn't sure to end this at a 3 or a 4 star, but at the end of the day, my cats are home and healthy which is #1 importance. The staff was communicative and my cats were treated very well. I think a 4* is fair.

I’ve gone to AERC Oakdale for many of my pets - internal medicine for an abdominal ultrasound for my now-passed Roxie to diagnose her liver tumor, life-saving emergency surgery for an intestinal obstruction for my little pup Pippin, and multiple visits for respiratory issues for my rat Drusilla. I can’t speak highly enough about all of my interactions with the staff during each of these visits and I specifically travel out of my way past closer emergency or specialty centers to go to AERC. Most recently, Dr. Moschetto in the exotics department has been above and beyond amazing in helping with my rat’s management - if you need specialty care for your exotic pet she is truly outstanding! Managing my pets’ various advanced medical issues has been scary at times but I’ve always felt reassured that we’ve all been in good hands here. I recommend AERC to everyone who needs emergency or specialty care!

I received care recently for my Miss Tillie 14yo cat at this facility. I had to have consults and testing and procedures to ultimately needing surgery. My little girl was so chill at this place because of the team’s care and concern. They were so unbelievably kind, compassionate, understanding, and thorough! It all went to smoothly, there was never a moment of doubt that she may or may not be in good hand. Outstanding people at this facility from top to bottom but a big
SHOUT OUT TO FLOOR TWO!!

Thank you so much!

The staff here are awesome. I felt like we were well cared for, listened to, and the needs of my dog were completely met. I didn’t feel like they were trying to rush me out of there or just get me for money. I am very, very happy with their service and their commitment and really do believe my dog will get better

As a first time client/patient with our 8yr old GSD we were treated very well. The doctors and techs did a wonderful job communicating with us. It was comforting to when they would send us an update each night telling us how he was doing and a current photo. I don’t wish for anyone to have to visit and ER, but if you do, AERC will do their best to take care of your furbaby!
