I have loved AMCMA for the entire 8 years we have had our dog. For yearly visits, they are convenient and their vaccination and preventative treatment prices can’t be beat. This past year we had surgery twice on our dog, and the care we received was top tier. They really cared about our dog, and never rushed me when I had questions or concerns.

Front staff is always really pleasant and they use an app for messaging and records so I always have those on hand. All the vets there are great, so you really cannot go wrong with whoever you book with.

Animal medical center of mid America was a great place to neuter our almost 9 month labradoodle. The check in process was easy, they update you on your pet’s procedure and how they are doing through their app, and the staff is friendly! Very afforadable compared to our usual vet. They also offer laser treatment to help the wound heal faster, which our regular vet did not. The wound is healing nicely after 2 days. We also got a follow up phone call the next day after the procedure to see how our pup was doing. Highly recommend!

I just want to start off by saying I am a very understanding person, and it usually takes a lot for me to get heated about something, but I have had terrible experience after terrible experience.

To give some context, I live with two roommates, and each of us have cats (3 total). We all go to this vet. A couple weeks I had the rough experience of waking up to a bat in my room. I was stressed and I found the cats to be interacting with the bat. As any worried pet owner would do, I called AMCA and explained the situation on the phone. All the person asked me was "did the cat get bit?" I told them I assume he did not get bit, but I was still worried. The person told me it would be fine. It did not give me a peace of mind, but whatever I did what I needed to do.

I let my roommates know that they should reach out as well because I can't speak for their cats. Fast forward about 5 days, one of my roommates brought her cat in to be checked out and get update on her shots. While in the room, the vet began speaking to my roommates about how we should all prepare for the worst and expect to put down our cats because they could have rabies. The vet also went off and said told this story about how a lady woke up to a bat in her room and she did not know she got bit and how she died of rabies. So professional right. The vet tech also kept saying "I will not be bit by a rabies cat today." Like what...They were saying how we needed to quarantine our cats and how they all needed extra rabies shots.

So now I am pissed because when I called 5 days before no one explained this to me. I was frustrated so I called up to AMCA to try to figure out what I needed to do with my cat, and to also put in a formal complaint. The person who answered the phone explained that I had to wait to get a call back for both of those issues separately.

Eventually the guy who is in charge of the desk workers called me and was super awesome, and he told me how the person who first answered my call should have not given me any medical advice and they should've put me on a task board for medical personnel to call me. He told me he would put me on the task board again so someone could call me regarding shots and rabies.

No one has called me still and it has been another week. I am over it and frustrated. I never thought I would do this, but I will be changing vet locations. I will stop recommending AMCA as well. They are unprofessional and it feels like they do not care about the actual well being of the pets they serve, but they are fine with charging for everything and making a dollar. If I were you, I would find somewhere else.

I am so sick of this place. After my cat gets his booster shot on Friday, I will be requesting his records and finding a new vet. I should have found a new one after my last issue with them.

This time I took my cat to this vet for his wellness checkup + vaccines. Two days later he starts nonstop sneezing and dry heaving so I reached back out to them. I called them at 8 am and I got a call back around 2 pm- because they put me on the call list for the wrong location. Okay whatever.

I take my cat back in, the vet checks over him and says he's completely fine, but they can put him on medicine. I am like you're the vet here what do you think we should do...

I start giving him the medication and he begins foaming at the mouth and profusely throwing up each time I give it to him. So, I called the vet again seeing what I should do. His reaction was giving me such bad anxiety and I was really worried about my cat. The desk worker tells me they will put me on the list to get a call back from the vet. This was on 3/14. Guess when I got a call back? 3/21.

So ridiculous. I called a different vet clinic about what was happening. They were so attentive and assured me that my cat would be okay. They recommended I stop giving him the medication which helped!

Had a great first visit here today with my dog, Lacy. Everyone I met was kind, gentle with Lacy, and straightforward about care. No hidden fees or trying to sell anything that isn’t necessary. I was also very happy about how they let animals in the building. I was able to text from the parking lot to check in, and they called to tell me when I could enter. Lacy can be reactive around other dogs so this was extremely helpful to not have to interact with any other patients as we made our way back to the room. They even gave her a bandana with calming spray which really seemed to help. She was so content she was laying down in the exam room. Great experience overall!

When your told by 2 different vet offices, that are both really good, to go to this place so they can help with a stray you found, when at work, to help get the pet back to their family and then the people working the desk are just outright rude as they tell you the shelter is around the corner, with their noses crinkled in utter distaste, and then they just try to dismiss you, it makes you not trust them with pets. I will never take business to this place ever, I would never trust them with any pet of mine, let alone a stray or a foster. If you hate animals, then don't work at a vets office. I now tell people to avoid this place. Word of mouth has already gotten to a few dozen people and will continue to get to people. They outright refused to even help try and find a chip on this stray pup. It seems like they hate animals/pets and are only in it for the money. Not trustworthy if they are only in it for the money. And to think my vet pointed me to go there because it was closer to my job, which is where we found the stray pup. I almost lost my job to try and get this wee pup to a safe place and then they tell me to go to the shelter with her only to be told that every shelter in the states is over capacity. That's gross. This vets business practices are gross. Avoid them. They only want your money, not to help animals. Both females at the front desk were completely dismissive and seemed disgusted at the thought of trying to help scan for a chip. No one even bothered to stand up out of their chairs. There was no one else waiting to be seen. It was completely dead, and they refused to even scan for a chip. Disgraceful.

Amazing service and you can't beat the cost! My puppy got spayed. They took really great care of her and, she was send home with all the medicine she needed. Her scar was so little and without stitches (glue) so it was easy to take care of it at home.

They did an excellent job in spaying my 2 teacup yorkies. The entire experience was exceptional, affordable, and great followup. Staff was super helpful and friendly. I felt likevthey really cared about me and my dogs. In today's world of erroded service levels, it was a breath of fresh air.
