Super friendly owners who took the time to explain the history of their family business that was started in 1919. A nice variety of the locally grown peanuts. We chose the 100% all natural peanut butter.

Update: We finally had some of this peanut butter on 6/3/2025. On my goodness, it was delicious. We should have purchased more.

Stopped in as part of my quest to visit all 100 counties in North Carolina. I love that you could sample the different peanuts and I found many I would have liked to take home. However, I opted just to get the honey roasted peanuts as well as a chocolate bar to stay on budget LOL

Both were a little bit pricey but the quality is definitely there.

My experience with customer service wasn't quite as high as some of the other reviews. It almost seemed like I wasn't supposed to be in the store when I went in? It was just a little weird. But I'm still glad I stopped in and the customers I encountered as I was leaving were all very friendly as we commiserated about the very hot day.

Great stop on the 🥜PEANUT TRAIL🥜 This is a 4th generation peanut operation with a rich history in eastern NC. Jon Powell was glad to share the history of Bertie County Peanuts, down to the old safe located in their retail/office, along with flood lines from different hurricanes. Their retail spot is simple small and basic with a variety of tasty peanuts available to sample and buy. Alice was delightful and made great suggestions. Our crew chose their top 3: Dew Drop Dill Pickle, Butterscotch,& Dark Chocolate. If you are looking for great peanuts this is one of your places. Their catalog is great and they have free shipping. Highly Recommend 🙌

We've been ordering on-line from Bertie County Peanuts for some time but this was the first time we actually went to visit the store. It was a great trip. Would recommend it to anyone who lives within 100 miles or so. The people there are the BEST!! And, even better, we got a picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus!! What more could you ask for! Thanks again to Jack and all the wonderful folks at Bertie County Peanuts!!

Step back in time and perhaps an Old story regarding history of Berties peanuts if Locals are present. Great prices. Wife never leaves without peanut brittle/ choc covered!

I just called my order in over the phone!!! The young lady that helped me was beyond professional and knowledgeable and nice!!! I will definitely continue buying my peanuts from here just because the customer service was beyond great!!!
