Calvin and Susie in Kailua helped to save our super picky pug! My husband and I had tried many, many different food options over the years from fresh food to prepared food. After all failed attempts to introduce healthier foods to his diet, we were literally out of options, and his health was on the decline. My husband happened to stroll into the store to kill time and began talking with the staff about our pug and his food struggles. After asking him more questions about our pug's preferences, they suggested a frozen food and recommended mixing it in with his chicken. To our complete surprise, he LOVED it! Since then, everything they have recommended has worked. Recently, our pug fell in love with the dry food they recommended. He has NEVER eaten dry dog food ever!!! We are so grateful for their knowledge and wide selection of specialized products, including their excellent customer service! We are forever fans and will continue to trust their recommendations! 💯🐕THEYRE ALMOST THE BEST❗🐕⭐⭐⭐⭐because of Small Batch. I always miss Taylor, and their manager Traci, as that company called Small Batch not as good as thought Brandy didn't touch it except for one nugget had to try hard to get her to eat some of what I took out and I put those medallions back in the bag, but I was a little surprised I wouldn't be able to bring it back, was still like new, not a big thing but I did spend over $400 being inconsistent but it's fine. And we know it's purely not about the money just at $55 but you know if you look at so called reviews. Still we're lucky to have Calvin & Susie's here in Kailua, and in the Waialae Avenue area, because they do have the best foods for our canines, undoubtedly! But when it comes to Frozen Raw that's a hard one, for which is truly the definite BEST!! Just that couldn't get something else for Brandy even spending $435 that took the frosting and all. Because my golden retriever Brandy needs to have nothing but the best. As like a board certified Radiologist, who retired said to me, she has a very athletic heart, many years ago, again, said to me while doing ultrasound imaging "She Has A Very Athletic Heart" Wow I was so happy, that was our best veterinary appt ever! If only Dr Sam Silverman was still actively working, there's no one that's able to do ultrasound and it's interpretations, during the exam, except VERC's Graham Burns, so unfortunate that don't like there since 2011. But she "Brandy' truly is one that continues to swim no matter how far out we go, maybe at times past 150 yards or couple of football fields offshore. That's why I call my golden retriever Brandy, "Banzai Brandy" or Banzai Girl! People always says how amazing she is. Foods definitely an important part of our lives... !🐕 Need to go there when Tyler and Traci is working FYI...

Very cute shop! I accidentally picked out the wrong size bandanna and they noticed and replaced for me. They gave my pup love and treats during our visit

If you have a furbaby and want to get them the best treats and food around this is place to be. They have refrigerated and frozen foods as well as a great assortment of harnesses, leashes, toys and Hawaiian themed pads.

The staff are extremely helpful and you can tell they genuinely like their job and what they do.

I bet they get a lot of casual shoppers waiting for food but they still greet everyone wonderfully.

Definitely a good place to check out if you have a dog!

Such a cute place that has exactly what I need. It's hard to find Nulo dog food nearby, so I'm glad they carry it. The staff is super friendly and helpful as well. Finding a parking spot is the only thing that's not too easy.

Calvin & Susie's staff are always pleasant, friendly & helpful. There is a brunette lady there that is always helpful, very attentive. This store also sells my favorite harnesses, the Tre Ponti brand. They sell high quality food and dog and cat items here.

Update: Calvin & Susie’s moved. I should have posted an update in March. Their new location is between Cinnamon Resturant and Manoa Chocolate a little further away from the high-priced district. Still great selection and more from a little pet shop that cares.
Keeps all the five stars!

Calvin and Susie is great. A little pricy but you can get most everything you need to spoil your pet. Pet-friendly. They even gave Chinese New Year treats this month - and asked about allergies before giving them! Very personable, helpful service.
