Our English Mastiff became sick and they were able to see her immediately after hours. I appreciate how quickly they moved with seeing her, explaining things and testing. The staff and Veterinarian both made multiple phone calls to us taking their time to throughly go over everything with us. It was very emotional for myself and my family. They did not rush us, they explained the situation and they clearly explained our options. They went over pricing for each test and then prioritized what was best for our big girl. They were compassionate, kind and professional. I’m grateful they were there for our girl and for us.

We had the worst emergency experience at Central Animal Clinic, our Chihuahua was in pushing contractions for 3 hours with no puppy, mind you we did an X-ray prior showing we are expecting 5 puppies. Due to the lack of progress we saw in our poor dog, we decided to take her in at 2:30am to ensure our dog and her puppies weren't in any harms way. The staff was dismissive, horrible beside manners, took our dog back came back telling us her puppy is breached and green chunks coming out of my dog during the Vets exam and the Vet wasn't sure if that puppy was even alive. The vet said she needed a cesarean. Of course we love our dog so we said okay, she said they would come back with an estimate. The nurse came back with an estimate of $6,000 and stated we must come with a deposit of $3,000. My husband relayed we didn't have that kind of money and the nurse said, "that's not my problem" and my husband asked if we could work out a more reasonable deposit and do a payment plan. The nurse said it wasn't her call and went back to ask the Vet. The Vet said they could try giving her a medicine that would strengthen her contraction in less then 5 minutes two puppies came out alive mind you and they brought them out right away in a box and told us they were sending us home and we can have our dog have the rest at home. We live 30 minutes away. They bring our laboring dog out to our car with a third puppy she had after the initial two in the rain. Left us in the parking lot to figure out these newborns who can't hold body temperatures and a mom dog trying to deliver her last two pups. I would NEVER recommend this clinic to anyone for any animal. Their moto for this clinic "Central Animal Clinic treats your pet like family" is an absolute joke, they treated our dogs like dirt and as if because we couldn't afford their treatment offered that their lives didn't matter. SHAME ON YOU Central Animal Clinic, you price gauge us in the community by using our love for our furry family members , you don't deserve the right to serve our community and our pets.

My puppy became very lethargic while at the beach, we knew something was wrong and we called and took her directly to CMAC. They took her back pretty quick for an assessment and a few minutes later the doctor came out and told what she suspected. As worried as I was, I was also calmed by her confidence. My pup stayed a few hours for observation, tests and treatment. We brought her home later and she is just fine 2 days later. She ate something toxic at the beach.

This vet clinic has saved my dogs life twice! Two years ago he ate sand, which ended up creating a blockage and made him extremely ill. He was hospitalized for a day in hopes that it would pass on its own without surgery and thankfully, it did. I’m a narcotic pet owner, I love my dogs like they are my children. I would call multiple times a night and would always get a friendly voice on the other line. This recent visit was a hospitalization for two nights, my dog has stage four kidney disease. He was almost gone and they were able to make him comfortable enough to come home. He’s doing so much better now. I’m forever grateful they gave me more time with my boy. My other dog unfortunately had to be put down and we made the hard decision after normal business hours. The vet was so kind, gentle, and caring. I couldn’t have asked for a better doctor. In the future, I will only take my pets to this clinic. I feel they are the most caring and diligent vets on island. Thanks again for saving my best friend.

Took my two miniature pinchers in for yearly exam. The veterinarians assistant was excellent with my hyper and sometimes uncooperative doggos. She was kind and patient with them. The Doctor did the most thorough examination I have witnessed! (24 + years of visits). They both had their vaccinations, and it didnt break my wallet. The only small negative was the wait time, but I have experienced longer waits at human health care facilities, so they still get a 5 star rating. Thank you to the Central Maui Team. The reception desk is always great as well.

We had to take our dog to the Emergency clinic at 7 am and was promptly seen. Dr Joann Dombeck was excellent and very informative of what was wrong with our dog and laided out a careful detailed plan of what their and our expectations were. We were very happy with her care there. As to be expected of course they did go over the financial aspect of his care in detail but it was hard to hear that then at that time.
The only aspect I would improve on would be the front desk staff during regular business hours were not the friendliest and did not smile much.
Otherwise I would still bring my dog to this clinic for superior medical care.

I took my older cat in because she’s out of sorts. They charged me $425 and told me she was fine. I brought her home and a week or so later she came up with ringworm on her head that she then gave to me. Pretty sure she got it at that facility. I can’t really recommend the place.

We had to make an emergency visit last Friday night when our Frenchie girl didn't want to walk. The late night crew were understanding, gentle with our hurting baby, informative, and patient with us. Emergencies are never good, but they made the experience easier.
