Had a great experience working with Keely at CCU. Chop stayed under her training for a week at CCU and has shown improvement on leash manners immediately. With Keely’s help we are setting up a strong foundation for chop in multiple areas of obedience. Keely has an eye for K9 behavior and is a natural trainer. Will give great tips during 1-1-1 sessions. Look forward to continued training sessions with Chop and Keely.

We recently completed a boarding and training program for our 6 month old Great Dane. Our trainer Brandon provided great weekly updates on progress throughout the training process. We got back a much more manageable and behaved dog! Great work! This group knows what they are doing.

Originally gave this 2 stars. But the CEO, AJ Vargas decided to delete my original review on his website, which really just goes to show what kind of honest guy he really is. So i downgraded it to one.

CCU tracking was an experience that I definitely won’t forget. It was awesome to see how quickly my dog picked up a new task right. It was great to see my dog be successful, build his own confidence. This course allowed me and my Military Working Dog to build a much stronger bond, and definitely have become a better working dog team. I will be take a lot of the things I learned in the course with me for the rest of my career. There were a multitude of things that enabled me to give this 2 stars, here are some highlights.

This course labels itself as a “professional” and “accredited course” yet the material provided is extremely outdated and full of grammatical mistakes and punctuation errors that can cause confusion and misunderstanding. An example being: some sources used as reference in the manual are outdated by 60 years, and as we all know, science is ever changing. When confronted with this information we were more or less told “well that’s the book answer and we have a reference listed; you can find any answer you want on the internet”.

The assistant instructor is not qualified for this position. The assistant instructor messed up training lanes for multiple teams on multiple days, multiple times. He also admitted that he was “too busy and had a lot going on” and that’s why his test grading was poor, which caused some people to get lower testing grades on written material. This instructor also has zero military working dog or law enforcement k9 operational experience. It’s very hard as handlers try to adapt or understand feedback from somebody who has never done the job in an operational setting. Especially when that persons answer to criticism is “just do it because I’m telling you to or that’s what the book says”.

I feel CCU could have an absolutely phenomenal course as AJ has the personality and mentality to build amazing K9 teams, but they struggle when it comes to confrontation, criticism, or feedback, and it severely hindered the morale of the course and caused a lot of tension over the four weeks.

Dog training is fluid, CCU needs to adapt to that philosophy and I have no doubt they can improve and become a better organization.

We have a 100+ lb. RR (Hunter) that started showing aggression to outsiders at age three which deeply concerned us. We love him so much but knew we had to do something so we did a board and train with him at Custom Canine for 3-4 weeks. Szymon was his primary trainer and he did a great job of laying down a foundation that we’ve reinforced with daily training once we got him back. Szymon also introduced us to an e-collar, which along with a heavy duty retractable leash, allows us to take Hunter for walks on trails and/or on streets like we use to. 😊

Custom Canine Unlimited was a wonderful experience and a great introduction to my k9 Career.

The team/ staff was available 24/7 and very knowledgeable. The doors remained open after graduation to help troubleshoot any issues that arose.

Staff calls and checks on k9 teams progress and even pop up at your maintenance training session with your agency.

I had the BEST experience with Custom Canine Unlimited. Before finding them, my dog Daisy, a Great Dane puppy was wild and crazy! I went for an evaluation and met with the trainer. He broke it down and explained to me how the board and train would work and that we would be able to be involved. Emon literally updated me weekly and made this transition without my Daisy so easy. He sent me pictures and videos of Daisy's progress and let us visit when she was ready. He was so great with my family. My three year old adored him. We recently got Daisy back and her behavior is completely different than before. She is such a well behaved and well mannered dog now! He did such an amazing job with her. I would recommend this facility to anyone!!

I enrolled my 7 month lab into the 4 week program. She came out a completely new dog.
My trainer Emon was excellent with my dog. Not seeing her for the 4 weeks and then watching her perform with the trainer was impressive. I've had her home now for a few days and my trainer called to check up with her progress. I had a few concearns and he immediately wanted to make an appointment to go over the training with me
you can tell that they truly love animals and they are dedicated to what they do..
My overall experience was great. Very clean facility and the entire staff was friendly and helpful.
Just wanted to say thanks for all the hard work that you all put in for the training.

CCU is an awesome facility. The staff is extremely friendly and they make you feel at home every time you come down there. Our dog is a rescue dog and he was extremely difficult to control. His trainer, Emon, had the most amazing amount of patience I've ever seen. He built a bond with our dog and almost completely transformed him. The people at CCU know what they are doing. I look forward to working with them in the future.
