Dog Days are so friendly and helpful with my 12 year old Basset Hound! He has been there 3 times now and is excited to go back.

I had never boarded my dog before until he went to Dog Days when he was about 11, so I was nervous that he wouldn't like it the first time. He was so happy there and all the employees are lovely. You can tell that they really love dogs and take good care of them.

If you ever want an update on how your dog is, you can call or email them and they are very responsive and detailed with their updates.

Enrichment care was and has been an absolute god send for my terrible dog who runs too fast for his thoughts to catch up and who I love beyond reason.

To be clear their normal day care/boarding is great and my older dog loves it, but my terrible second dog who was sent from the mirror verse to kill me needed more attention and help and Dog Days has been SUCH a gift for getting him used to existing in the world.

Everytime I post updates about how he’s doing every parent I know is like “I WISH i got this kind of update for my kid”

I love them, i love the updates, I love the pictures, i love how much they love my dog. 10/10 no notes

I have nothing but great things to say about Dog Days! Truly a life SAVER!!! I work from home in an apartment, and some days are filled with more meetings than usual, which means my pup has to go to daycare, and truly the team here is so kind, understand, and welcoming!! Not to mention they have done an AMAZING job looking after my pup!

My puppy usually does their Puppy Enrichment classes, and he has shown so much more confidence in the world thanks to their classes. He also always comes home so worn out that he'll just sleep for hours! The photo updates they provide is my favorite part of the day, because I'm able to see what they've worked on and how my puppy has been interacting with the other dogs. Truly could not give any more kuddos to this amazing doggy daycare! (The photo attached is one from puppy enrichment!)

I wish I'd have been informed from day 1 that the expectation is that dogs must share toys, in order to come to this daycare. Our dog is 4.5 years old and highly energetic & lives with 2 people & does not have other pets to share toys with. Over the course of 4 months & 30 full day daycare days, we were informed that he was "resource guarding", just in the past few weeks. i.e. not wanting to "share" or have other dogs grab the toy he chose at the beginning of a day. From one young employee, she acted like it was a huge deal & our dog would be "watched" & possibly dismissed. It felt like a reprimand instead of instinctual behavior occurring. It added stress onto our already stressed life. It ended up that our dog nipped another in the ear, because of a "toy" issue. I felt really bad about that. Julia the general manager WAS great about talking through what happened & to try to help our dog "succeed" in the future at DogDays Vandalia, but with that added stress & thinking that the potential for our dog to bite or get bit in the future, we have elected to go back to a safer dog daycare environment where no toys are involved.
I think if you started a young dog out here, that is a better fit. Bottom line, this business should be up front about the "toy sharing" & not expect human behavior from instinctive animals. I fully realize this may be a great place for some dogs, but ours became very reactive here. It was suggested that's because we have high stress in our personal lives, trickling down to our dog. Hmmm.

Our girl, Annie, always looks forward to daycare at Dog Days! The staff know my husband and myself well, and we feel secure knowing she is safe and having fun. We have also boarded her a few times (for a few days overnight) which is always hard but made oh-so-much easier knowing she is well looked after and loved by the staff. Additionally, we will never forget how the staff reached out with a special letter of remembrance when our boy , Lenny, unexpectedly passed away in 2022. My dog Addie has been going here for daycare weekly for almost 10 years and she loves it! I’ve always had such great service and I know she is taken care of. When she was younger she had so much energy and I don’t know how I would’ve made it through the puppy years without Dog Days! As she has gotten older we continue to go because of how happy she is on those days. Thanks for everything!!!

Woof Woof is what Wally does when we pull in. They know him by name even when he hasn't been there for a couple of months. Wally has to be groomed more in the summer due to he is always in the pool and looks like a hot mess. Lee does such a great job grooming him and is so good to him. He makes Wally look so handsome after! Thank you Lee!! Everyone there is so nice. Thank you for taking such great care of my fur baby! Susan
