Jocelyn and Jonathan were amazing to work with. Our dog, Chipper (age 14 months) stayed for a week for dog training. The biggest focus was on jumping on us and mouthing/play biting. They also helped with overall listening and waiting for our direction. The improvement has been amazing, he seems like a different dog.

The facility is beautiful located on an old horse farm with lots of space to run and get exercise.

During the week Jonathan kept me updated on progress and sent videos.

When Chipper had some redness on his belly, due to seasonal allergies he sent pics to me and changed Chipper’s environment to turf. I felt fully aware and in good hands.

I am very pleased with the service and would highly recommend.

I have a 15 month old Great Pyrenees who had a very rough start in life. I got him at 9 weeks old and I was his 2nd owner. I have been working with Jonathan for several months, and Sammy is coming out of his shell more and more. Jonathan is very patient and compassionate, while being firm with him at the same time. Sammy’s behavior in general is much improved, including not as much destructive chewing, and he’s a happier dog. I cannot say enough positive things about working with Jonathan. He is truly a stellar individual, and I highly recommend him. There aren’t enough stars.

Jonathan was so good with our German Shepherd! Our Good dog is very protective of us and wary of strangers, also lived to chase squirrels when walking. With our first session he understood he was to “behave” on the leash and We were in charge. We have more work to do but what a great beginning. Highly recommend.

Jonathan and Jocelyn have been absolutely amazing. I adopted a high energy dog named Cyrus. When I got him he pulled on his leash, was very mouthy, and could not sit still! Best Friends Atlanta referred me to them for training and now Cyrus is a much calmer and obedient dog after only 2 sessions! Implementing the tools and training methods is crucial, but it works! I then ended up adopting another dog , Enzo, from Best Friends Atlanta that was currently boarded at Dogs We Trust. They have also been working with Enzo and he is a “gentleman”. I highly recommend DWT!

In March of this year, a spunky, 10-week-old Flat-Coated Retriever named Ryder joined our family. Unlike the previous six dogs in my life, Ryder has presented us with some challenges for which we were unprepared. She was so adorable that we spent too much time catering to her whims and not enough time establishing necessary boundaries. We weren’t as organized and consistent as we had been with our previous dogs when it came to house rules and basic training. We needed to identify and correct the unintended mistakes we had made with Ryder and move forward with training methods best suited to our puppy and our family circumstances.

Although we considered a couple of other training establishments, Jonathan Irons came highly so recommended by one of our neighbors that we decided to use the services of Dogs We Trust. Jonathan worked with us at our home for the first few sessions. Then we agreed that Ryder needed more intensive training than we had been providing. For the past two weeks, Ryder has been going to school at Jonathan’s facility. She can’t wait to go in the morning and always comes home happy. This is going to be a process and will take some time, both at school and at home, but we are moving in the right direction.

Jonathan’s talent is remarkable. He puts more heart into his work than any trainer I’ve ever known. His flexibility and ability to tailor his services to the specific needs of the dogs and families he works with is especially important to us. In addition to his work with Ryder during the day, Jonathan spends time after school teaching me about Ryder’s needs and behaviors. He demonstrates training techniques, watches me practice, and provides immediate feedback to me as well as to Ryder. He also provides detailed written summaries of her progress and recommendations for the future.

We have never boarded any of our dogs. They either traveled with us or stayed with friends and relatives we trusted. However, after spending time at Jonathan’s facility, I wouldn’t hesitate to board Ryder there when we travel in the future. The other dogs Ryder plays with at Dogs We Trust and wonderful role models and teachers for her. The facility and grounds are ideal for Ryder’s needs to run and play safely.

Most important, along with his talent, Jonathan’s warmth and optimism are inspirational. I look forward to continuing to work with him so that Ryder develops into a secure, confident, comfortable, and well-trained companion.

It took me four months to find some place I felt safe leaving my dog for a board and train while I was out of the country for two weeks. Jonathan and Jocelyn answered every question I had and explained everything about their training program and training styles so that I had all the information I needed to feel comfortable in my decision. While I was away, I got daily updates with videos or pictures of his progress on training as well as some fun videos of him playing and enjoying the beautiful nature of the Dogs We Trust grounds. My puppy is 11 months old presently so he has a lot of energy, and it was wonderful to see that his brain got some relaxation in addition to all he was learning. He has come home to us as a confident and comfortable dog who no longer paces the room because he knows that it's okay to settle and relax. His leash walking skills are vastly improved. He even eats his meals in one sitting instead of dumping his food and eating the scattered pieces over hours of the day. I was able to enjoy my vacation so much more knowing my dog was safe and having fun. If you're an anxious pet parent like me, I can assure you that Jonathan and Jocelyn are excellent caretakers of your dogs and they will be in the most capable and excellent hands. I'd give them more than 5 stars if I could. So I'll just say thank you for the hundredth time for everything! Y'all are the absolute best!

Working with Jonathan was so helpful! His resources and knowledge was exactly what we needed for training our puppy. His on-site space was set up for many types of training sessions and offered supportive tools that helped us know how to set up our home training too. A single session leaves you feeling informed, prepared, and set up for success as an owner and dog; and, of course, ready for more! We left feeling encouraged and equipped; especially when it came to biting, jumping and walking. We’re so thankful for his time and energy to support our dog and family well. We would highly recommend working with Jonathan and his team for any of your dog needs!

Finding a dog care taker/trainer whom you trust can be a stressful and difficult process, especially when you are a first time puppy parent. I was lucky enough to come across DWT after thorough research, and will start by saying that first and foremost, Jocelyn and Jonathan are just good people. From the very start, they were also highly communicative and invited my husband and I to tour their facility before we enrolled our pup in their 2 week intensive training program. My first impression as we pulled up was how naturally beautiful, spacious and sheltered their compound was. Jonathan and Jocelyn welcomed us and our pup to their property, where they also live, and we were immediately put at ease as they showed us around. You can tell that all animals, especially dogs, are a way of life for DWT, which made us feel right at home. I’d also like to note that their thoughtfully laid out facility would be better referred to as a charming farm that’s a haven for dogs.

Our puppy used to be a non-stop play biter, a nightmare to walk on a leash, only listened when he wanted to and overall had terrible manners resulting in lots of frustration for not just us, but our pup too. My husband and I have a baby due next year, so it was imperative that we curbed our pup’s bad behavior through professional help since nothing we tried worked. After only 2 weeks with DWT, our pup came back a better version of himself. The difference was night and day. If you are reading this, then you already know how big of a blessing it is to have a dog as a family member. It is a is a GIFT to have a good dog, and DWT not only gave us that, but also passed on the knowledge and understanding in how to continue building on his training foundation and better communicate with our pup. Jocelyn and Jonathan were incredibly supportive throughout his training period, and I felt at ease knowing they were using safe practices to correct bad behavior. Jocelyn and Jonathan have a natural way with dogs that comes from love, and are some of the best in the game in training and communicating with animals. They consistently kept me updated with picture/video updates, and after having put our pup through their program, I feel like we found trusted friends who we can consistently rely on for future boarding and day care as well. If I could give DWT 10 stars I would. That said, I highly recommend Jocelyn and Jonathan if you're in the market for any type of training, boarding or day care services for your furry family member.
