I cannot express how extremely happy we are with Dokken’s Oak Ridge Kennels. We sent our year old lab there because he developed some very bad habits from living with a family that wasn’t very good at puppy training(that would be my family🤦🏼‍♀️). The training was so amazing and Mike knocked it out of the park. My whole family was also trained so we can make sure the dog retains his good behavior. I could tell Mike, the trainer, really loves dogs and he enjoys what he does AND my dog, Howie, LOVED him too. It was nerve wracking leaving my dog in someone else’s hands for 8 weeks, but once I saw him and how much he learned and how much fun he was having, I could not be more pleased. We will be forever grateful. I would highly recommend this company to anyone with any dog breed. 10 ⭐️!!

Sad to hear of the people that had a negative experience… we had the opposite. We knew we were getting a dog and called them in advance had the puppy training and full dog training they offer. Our pups is constantly praised on how good he is, his hunting skills are great too. Everyone I have sent this direction has had positive results also.

If you want to have a superior hunting dog that is also extremely well trained, go to Dokken's. Our year old British lab has been through the Intro to Birds class and also the obedience training. This training has made him into a fantastic dog. We just dropped him off today for two more weeks of water training. We've worked with Hunter, one of the trainers, and couldn't be happier. I'd highly recommend Dokken's!

Great staff, training and reasonable kennel rates. Love that I can keep my dog there when on business and she can get some bird time and training in while I'm out.

We got our dog back after his intermediate training. What a game changer. Our dog (British Lab) has a ton of energy a drive and has been hard to temper down. After his training we now are able to work with him and he actually listens. He doesn’t run crazily around the house getting in to trouble. When we eat for dinner, he will stay in his “place” like he was taught. He is a great home dog now, and good thing as we were starting to regret getting a dog. I can say we are happy to have him now as a sweet and loving dog that still has energy, but manageable. I have yet to hunt with him, but got to see him in action at Dokken. He has been trained to force fetch as well. They treated him well and it was money well spent.

Very beautiful setting, excellent dogs and puppies. But felt like the animals were a commodity. Pup was inspected, thoroughly examined. And I was relieved of duty. Pup was hauled off as already sold to a building. The young man who greated me was very friendly. And kind! But the rest were strictly business and gave the impression if I appeared wealthy it may be different. But how does anyone know if I may be the next buyer?! Or how many people I may know who would be interested in their high quality dogs. I transport for many wealthy people. Hopefully it's just very busy day and people were tired. Id live to actually see their training process, and daily handling. Because it is truly beautiful place, with very high quality dogs.

We had a fantastic experience with our training program, and specifically with Dillon. He was informative, patient, and took his time explaining every step of the process to us, each time making sure we understood everything completely.

We brought our pup here for their 8 week obedience program. He was already very sweet and smart, but did have some issues that needed work. Things like jumping on our toddler and anyone else that came over, endless pulling on walks, impulse control, hearding behaviors towards people, nipping, etc. He is still our same sweet loving boy, but with a whole new set of manners. I am so impressed! We can now take walks with no pulling, and he is not distracted by the many dogs and squirrels in our neighborhood. He is no longer jumping on our toddler or us. Here and there he does still test us as he is still a toddler pup, but Dokken trained us too. So we know exactly what to do and how to hone his energy back in so he can follow his commands. His trainer was so wonderful, nice, informative, and answered my many questions. She also worked great with our 4 year old when he came to training sessions. Could not recommend enough!
