I can’t recommend Hannah and her team highly enough! My two high-energy, independent Arctic breed dogs have been going to training and play care with Hannah since they were puppies, and the transformation has been incredible. With her guidance, they’ve become not only obedient and well-mannered, but also confident, fun-loving companions who I can take anywhere. They’re often the most well-behaved dogs in the group — and still full of personality!

Play care has been a game changer for us. It’s their absolute favorite place, and the socialization, structure, and fun they get each week have made a huge difference in their behavior and happiness. Hannah, Mick, and their amazing team (shoutout to Maddy!) are doing phenomenal work. They truly care about each dog and create such a positive, balanced environment for learning and play. They also love boarding there—it’s like a vacation for them! They come home stress free and I’m stress free knowing they’re well cared for.

My dogs love it, I love it, and I’m so grateful to have found this place. If you’re looking for training or structured care that brings out the best in your dog, look no further! Can’t recommend them highly enough!

Hannah has been incredible with our two dogs. Her training is worlds above anywhere we've gone before. We did boarding and training with our St Bernard at Down Home Dog. During her stay we got photos and videos of her playing, learning and having so much fun! We drive two hours either way, they are simply that wonderful. If you want your fur babies treated with love, respect and treated like family, there is no one better!

The most amazing group of people and place to board your dogs. I have always had issues trusting other people with my babies, but Hannah, Mick, and Maddy are THE BEST. My girls love packing up and heading to “hannahs.” All 3 of my girls are timid at first, but never once showed hesitation with the DHDR crew. I know that when I drop my girls off, they will receive all of the love and care that I would give them. They each come home happy, which is all I could ever ask for when boarding my girls. They also take so many pictures and send updates throughout my longer trips, which means so much to see the girls actively enjoying their time there. I highly recommend Down Home Dog Resort for all of your boarding needs. It’s truly my girls home away from home and I am forever grateful. 🤩

I take my 2 pups (Golden Retreiver & American Bully) to Hannah at DHDR whenever we go out of town, and I absolutely love it! I’m very particular over my babies and Hannah takes amazing care of them. She’s very quick to respond to any texts or anything if I’m missing my pups, sends pics, and updates if needed! They also offer baths at the end of the boarding stay for an additional cost which is awesome, and that’s only 1 of the many beneficial add ons you can opt into while booking! The website to book is very user friendly, too! I highly recommend Hannah and DHDR if you need a place to board your fur babies while you’re away!

We love Hannah and Mick! I always know my dog is in the best care when she's with the Down Home crew. Barbie gets so excited to go to playcare. The facility is always spotless, excellent retail section, and top notch care. Hannah and Mick always make sure to go the extra mile for the dogs. I'd recommend to anyone!!

We have been so pleased with Down Home Dog Resort. We have a 3 year old yellow lab who started going for boarding when he was around 1 year old. He was not an easy pup as he struggled with a lot of separation anxiety. Hannah and her staff were so compassionate, patient, and very willing to problem-solve with us so he would feel more comfortable (not to mention they have cleaned up quite a few messes and given quite a few unplanned baths in the process). We also boarded our senior black lab until he passed. We were so comfortable with his care as an aging dog. Hannah and her staff gave him so much appropriate care and attention. We have experienced flexibility and so much hospitality. Hannah posts pictures and is very responsive to questions and needs so that we have always felt comfortable knowing how are fur-babies are doing.

My Aussiedoodle, Nova, began training with Hannah Adams @ Down Home Dog Resort when she was just two months old. She has gone through a number of sessions since that time with the most recent course being the Community Canine course. Today, 10/18/24, I wrote Hannah to say:

Nova (now 11 months old) sends a big thank you to Miss Hannah this morning. Yesterday we experienced quite the fiasco when we got locked out of our camper (three hours away from home). Hours later after attempting numerous ways to get us back in, we resorted to a hotel room. Because of Miss Hannah and our community canine classes, Nova navigated everything with ease. Hours in the car and on a leash, crowds, a restaurant, elevators, rolling luggage passing by, stairs and strange places. She’s definitely a little tuckered out this morning and a wee bit off since the routine is off but overall she did great and that was the best part of her mama’s day!! I honestly can’t imagine how much harder this would have been without our classes with you!

Training with Hannah/Down Home Dog Resort is definitely worth the time and effort. It benefits both you and your dog!

Dogs love it, they keep us updated with pictures and responsive to text. Dogs are always excited when we pull up, which hasn't happened in other places. Shout out to Maddie Ceremuga and her awesome grooming service there!
