Amazing dog trainers that really know and understand the dogs. They were quick to identify working solutions to some of the issues I was having with my dog. Kathini, whom I've worked with, showed great calm and confidence with my dog, a presa canario, which other dog trainers on the big island refused to even meet. Highly recommend her for any dog you have! She also will train you the owner so you can build on the training provided and so you can have continued success with your dog's moving towards the future!

I enrolled my 11 mos old pitsky in the 3 week board and train. We ended up completing 4 weeks of board and train to insure Hāloa made meaningful change. Hāloa is very high energy husky and pitbull mix. We had a strong goal to have Hāloa be trained as a service dog. With our first training session Kathini assesed Hāloa's qualities and encouraged us that she has what it takes. It's been a night and day change with Hāloa! Kathini even went as far as flying with us for our first flight as a service dog.
I cannot speak highly enough of the dog training services provided by Dustin and Kathini. From the moment we enrolled our beloved Hāloa, we knew we were in good hands. Dustin and Kathini demonstrated a profound understanding of canine behavior and psychology, tailoring the training sessions to suit Hāloa's unique needs perfectly.
Their positive reinforcement techniques were incredibly effective, fostering a trusting and cooperative relationship between us and our furry friend. Not only did Dustin and Kathini teach Hāloa basic obedience commands, but they also addressed specific behavioral issues with patience and expertise.

Not only is Dustin extremely well-versed and educated in a wide range of canine training techniques, he also genuinely loves dogs. I have witnessed first hand so many of the dogs he’s trained and am continuously impressed by the almost instant results he is able to achieve even after just one session with a pup. We rescued a Pittbull mix that had been abused and had never had any sort of training. Although sweet with people, he was extremely dog aggressive and had a strong prey drive. We thought we would never be able to bring him out in public.

In only three weeks, Dustin had transformed our dog. Although we will probably never get rid of his prey drive, we can now manage it. The biggest improvement was with his dog aggression. We still keep him on a leash in public (like everyone should do!) but he is able to mostly ignore other dogs and keep his attention on us. He listens so well, and even fetches and brings the ball right back to us. He went from us first thinking he was deaf because he wouldn't even acknowledge commands to him sitting and laying on command. He will even sit and stay for a whole minute as we walk very far away and then comes running to us only on demand.

Personalized dog training is expensive and was not an easy choice for us, but after the training was over, it was clear that it was the best thing we could have done.

Seriously, it is night and day. Knowing what I know now, I would highly recommend getting your dog trained and trained by Dustin, especially if he is big, scary, and strong.

Dustin’s attentiveness and ingenuity allowed us to prepare our dogs for a long flight back to the mainland. Over the course of one month he trained our dogs to be comfortable in their crates. This minimized our stress while moving. He does a fantastic job of not only training your pet but also you. From reactivity training, crate training, or just cool tricks; Dustin can do it all. I trust this man with any pet and it was a pleasure to work and learn from him.
