I picked up my two dogs this morning after an extended stay over the holidays. One of my dogs was noticeably skinny and looked unwell. I was told he had bloody stools on and off throughout their stay. I was not notified of the situation prior to arriving. They told me his condition was due to stress and was a common thing dogs may experience. I understand anxiety, but this was more than that. I took him straight to the vet and I was told he would require overnight hospitalization due to severe dehydration. My poor baby lost 10 pounds and is currently hooked up to an IV catheter. I’m disappointed in Elkhound Ranch and the experience my dogs had at over $800. Now I have to pay for the vet hospitalization. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

Our dog loves going here for daycare! He comes home exhausted from a fun day of playing. Staff is always nice and quick to respond.
Grooming on site has been super convenient and fairly priced. We also use them for boarding and always have a good experience.

This was our first time using the Elkhound Ranch Kennels for our adult dog Bandit and I have to apologize for taking so long to write a review.

They were awesome and made us and Bandit feel very welcome. Bandit was well taken care of and was very happy to see us! Also, we took advantage of the daily walks, and 4-week dog training and Bill was so sweet and informative. We are definitely using them again! We highly recommend!

I've been boarding my dog Leany here for years. She absolutely freaking LOVES it. To the point her tail starts thumping the car door when we get close. It's a nerve-wracking experience to trust someone with your fur baby, but they make it SO easy. They even provide baths and nail trims! Look no further than Elkhound Ranch Kennels.

I work nights and needed a place for my 5 y/o American Bully on days I sleep during the day. Researched all over the metro and felt Elkhound Ranch was the way to go. Family owned. Locally Owned. And arguably the best pricing in the city for daycare packages. They're not trying to over-price you with unnecessary bells-and-whistles because taking your dog to daycare is the hot thing to do. Another "local" well known franchise and their pricing for the same amount of days is almost double compared to Elkhound Ranch. Furthermore, on Day 1 they looked at my American Bully with judgement free and were very welcoming and excited in having another bully breed around. Places like Elkhound skill make KC feel like community and not just another business in a big city.

Our 8 month old Rottweiler Titan just completed a 2 week board and training class. The trainer and staff did an incredible job taking care of our big boy! The trainer was incredible he sent videos and text updates and answered any questions and checked in with us! Titan learned so much!!! I would highly recommend them!!!

Elkhound Ranch is absolutely amazing! I have a large, reactive, dog and I fully trust this facility when I board her. The staff at Elkhound work closely with each dog to make sure they are playing well with each other. I trust my dog is safe in their hands! Elkhound ranch also provides grooming and they do a great job!

Over the summer, I did a two week board and train for my dog here and I was so nervous at first to leave her but it ended up being an AMAZING experience. I would give this place 10 stars if I could!

If you're looking for a safe place to board your dog that doesn't force group play and will take an intact dog, I can't recommend this place enough. We researched nearly every boarding option in KC for an extended vacation (30 days) before selecting Elk Hound and I can promise you, you won't have better peace of mind anywhere else! Great customer service, great facility, and great price to have peace of mind. Thank you for taking such good care of our boys!
