It’s been a year since my Jorgi girl has been going to Commack HT and I’m so grateful for the staff & Jorgi’s new friends. She is always excited to go and play plus she loves the HT staff. She is also happy after a days play and konks out at home. HT has monthly events which are adorable and I have a wall of my Jorgi from all the Pawtys!! Thank you HT!!

I am consistently impressed by the outstanding level of care and professionalism demonstrated by the team at Hounds Town. The staff is incredibly friendly, compassionate, and treats every dog as if they were their own. I have complete confidence leaving Sheba in their care, knowing she is safe, well-loved, and truly in the best hands!!
The facility offers additional services such as exit baths and spa treatments, which add a wonderful touch to an already exceptional experience. It’s clear that the staff is dedicated not only to the dogs’ physical well-being but also to their emotional happiness.
Being part of the Hounds Town community has been a fantastic experience. The private Facebook group is a wonderful resource, allowing me to check in and see photos of Sheba throughout the day. It provides a sense of connection and transparency.
I also love the creativity and innovation the team brings to their events and daily routines. From themed parties to engaging activities, they are always looking for ways to enrich the dogs’ experience while keeping them safe and entertained. Sheba comes home exhausted everytime she is there and I know she has spent the day playing and enjoying herself !
Hounds Town sets the standard for what pet care should be. I’m grateful to be a part of this community and highly recommend them to any dog owner looking for a trusted, professional, and caring environment.

- [ ] I had recently adopted a dog with separation anxiety and needed the day care service. She had also been attacked by other dogs and was full of stitches at one point before I adopted her. She was never aggressive and would just cry like she was going to die when left alone. I had no choice but to leave her at Hound Town during the day or I would have had to return her as had happened to her in the past.
- [ ] One day when I picked her up I saw that she had been attacked by another dog. She had two dried blood ,teeth marks on the right side. She had a 6” long dried blood, cut from a claw down the left side. No one who was watching her seem to notice the attack or the blood on both sides of her. I called and spoke with the manager the next day she stated it was indicative of dogs playing. 10 months later she still has the 6 inch scar down on her side, easily visible as her short hair is raised on the scar.
- [ ] One day I picked her up and could tell she had kennel cough. I had no other choice, but to drop her off again the next day and they did not question her symptoms. She caught the kennel cough twice while being here at Hound Town.
The stench of urine in this building is almost unbearable. When I would pick her up at the end of the day, the stench of urine on her was awful. There was always what felt like thick syrupy urine all over her rear end from sitting in urine all day
- [ ] In the four months, I had to use this place. I think I saw one person in there that was over 25 years old. They would all scatter from hanging out in the front when I would walk in early to pick up. This was a horrible place to have to leave this dog. I don’t know if I will ever use any doggy daycare again.

Update: Hound Town owner replied that my dog was showing signs of aggression!? I was never told that by their staff after my dog was attacked. I stopped going there. They never told me not to come back. In addition to the conditions, the owners lie!

Wonderful experience! We have 2 puppies and we were going away for the holiday weekend. I called a week before and asked if they were available for boarding. Luckily they fit me in and our puppies had an amazing time. Staff is super friendly and answer any questions or worries you may have. From the photos you could tell they were having fun. Put our mind at easy leaving them there. So happy we found a place where our dogs can stay and be happy. Thank you again 😃

Oh my goodness! My Zain went there for the first time and he had so much fun. First, to get him acclimated, the amazing staff allowed him to sniff butts with another pup. It was like a match made in puppy heaven. My pup loved it and I decided to let him stay. Like any neurotic pup mom, I called to check on him. They said he was great. I was shocked! My energetic pup had found his community. Then to make matters best, he enjoyed a Pup-a-ciño since it was pupacino Fridays.
Zain ended the day with an exit bath and he had a blast. I highly recommend Houndstown!!!

Steer clear of this facility! I went to pick up my dog today and the overwhelming smell of urine and ammonia was so overwhelming that my eyes were watering. I had to cover my nose with my shirt. We paid to have our dog bathed and she came out smelling like someone peed on her head. I would bet that either a staff member or another dog peed on her after her bath. My entire house stinks horrible now and I have to give my dog ANOTHER bath. A dogs sense of smell is 400 times more powerful than a human and I couldnt stand the smell.. my poor dog had to smell that horrific stench. This place should be shut down, there is no reason why any place should smell that bad. Does anyone even clean it? If you walk in a doggie daycare and the smell is so bad you cant breathe, DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOG THERE, THATS ABUSE!. The owner should be ashamed. Never again...im done with this place

Hounds Town Commack Rd is the BEST home away from home for my exuberant , large, goofy, playful dog! Ludwig LOVES going to HoundsTown and seeing and playing with all of his canine and human friends. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff especially. They are so sweet, helpful, friendly, conscientious, and know how to let dogs be dogs! The dogs are genuinely SO HAPPY there!! I don’t know what I would do without them. HoundsTown is truly a saving grace for Ludwig’s mental and physical health. And… I’m a veterinarian, and I would only let my dogs stay somewhere that I 110% trust. HoundsTown Commack and all the gals and guys who work there, are that place.
