I just wanted to thank you all for allowing us to adopt such amazing dogs. We adopted Faye in 2012 and Winston (previously Augusten) in 2013. They made our lives so wonderful and brought so much happiness to our family. Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to both of them in the past year and it has been so hard. I'm so grateful that we adopted them and have so many precious memories. We will be back in the future.

We came in today looking for a cat and even though they didn't have a big amount of cats their we did find my forever friend. I just wish that there were more staff so that we could have gotten processed a lot quicker than the hour and a half it took.

I visited and left with my best friend, Freya (formerly Bon Bon) back in December. Had a great experience. Everyone was super friendly. However, my dog developed epilepsy in June and passed away from it back in September (she was on medication for it, her dosage got upped but her vet didn't update the prescription, Walgreens wouldn't refill her meds without the updated prescription). She passed away at 11 pm, so I couldnt call to report that she had passed. I called the following day. Waited on the phone for 10 minutes and eventually left a message after it basically timed out. Whether or not my message was recieved is another story. I do plan on coming back soon for a new companion. If there is a separate number to call for instances like this, I would really love to know in case something happens again.

Edit: I did come home with a new friend! I was very nervous about getting turned down for the adoption process. But it turns out my message never went through. But I'd like to think Freya somehow sent me an angel. On Nov. 7th, I came with Bela Lugosi, who I've affectionately named Ares. He's an absolute joy and everyone loves his ears. We're doing great with training and he loves sleeping on the bed with his mama.

My dog ran away and the neighbors found her and took her here. These people were very thorough and friendly. I’m extremely grateful for them taking care of my dog. I was able to get her microchipped at the time I picked her up for an extra $35 so it doesn’t happen again.

Finally a place where they can feel safe and loved and never have to live in the streets again freezing, hungry, mistreated, and alone.. What a traumatizing life these animals have to endure when all they want is to be loved.... it's heartbreaking. I can only pray that they get healthy, warm, well fed, and get the second chance home they so deserve with all the Love and care they desire each and every day. Thank you for helping us help them. Thank you for giving them a secure and safe place along their journey for a better will desired life!

We went to adopt a puppy. Unbeknownst to us they had closed adoptions early due to understaffing. (Totally understandable) the staff there was so nice and accommodating. We had made plans to come back the next day and were talking to Ari about what we needed to bring. She ended up making an exception to let us see the dog we came for and ended up adopting her that night. Thank you to Ari for giving us all the information and staying late to make sure we got to take the girl home we had come for. We couldn’t be more appreciative of Ari and the entire staff at the Humane Society!

I went on Saturday to adopt a cat. There were many people in line ahead of me, which is to be expected when going on a Saturday, and many people after me. The staff was incredibly sweet and friendly. I never felt rushed or pressured into making a decision and ended up going home with the absolute love of my life. I am so grateful to the workers and the volunteers for what they do and how helpful they truly are. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this center for anyone looking for an animal. Fur-ever grateful for this center 🐾
