I rarely write reviews but I wanted to give this place high marks. My pup stayed there a week, and as it was my first time boarding her I was very nervous. The staff did a great job easing my nerves.

Before you can board, you are required to do a 4-hour intake where they evaluate how your dog does in a kennel environment. I was pretty certain Mallory wasn't ready to come home, she had so much fun! I was impressed and appreciated that the staff were so careful about ensuring she was a good fit.

When I picked her up, Mallory was clean, happy and clearly had been loved on during her stay. I'm pretty certain they trimmed her nails since they looked great. I'm impressed by how clean she was, it's November, pouring rain, on a farm, I was expecting muddy paws at the very least but she was clean and dry - and she's got white paws, you can really tell!

And the price is cheaper than everywhere else I saw in Corvallis!

Inavale Farm was AMAZING! They are a perfect location nowhere near busy roads, which I always worry about when boarding. They have property to walk the dogs on, always with new smells.
When I asked for an update they gave me a very thoughtful email about the friends he made, how he was with handlers, etc and a picture which was waiting for me printed out to take home for pickup.
They were all so sweet and I get like I could comfortably leave him there.
Definitely recommend.
Loki and I thank you!

I am from Portland and wanted to give my mare to a sweet 13 year girl who has dreamed of owning her own horse but hadn’t had enough experience yet to do it on her own. She lives in Philomath and was already taking lessons at Inavale so this is where I ended up. WOW! I just love it here!!! My first clue this was going to be a good place was when people from Portland knew of it already and multiple people even mentioned the trainer there by name! Everyone had nothing but excellent things to say.

The isles are huge...triple, and maybe even quadruple the width of many stables, and the horses are never boxed into a fully enclosed stall. They feel like they are outside because they can see daylight all around them. My mare usually hates being in a stall, but here she’s perfectly content when she’s in there. The owners are straight forward, down to earth people. She made me feel comfortable even when she had to let me know some of my feeding requests were not going to be able to be done the way I suggested. She helped me sort it all out beautifully. And don’t get me wrong...they feed three times a day which is unheard of in Portland for $400/month! My mare is just older and needed a lot of extra things done and she showed me how to simplify the requests I made beautifully. While I was setting up her feed one of the stable hands came in to sign out on her time card. Even though she was off the clock, she took the time to meet me, and helped me get everything set up correctly! I wish I remembered her name, but I thought it was adorable that she was the owner of the one random mule I had noticed earlier in a stall. Thank you for your help!!! I absolutely fell in love with Tarra, the trainer. She’s not the one everyone in Portland knew, but I’m sure she’s the next up and coming trainer there. Knowing that she will be overseeing my mare’s transition to a new owner makes me happy.

My sweet pup loves Inavale. She always returns happy and exhausted from all the play. I'm glad we don't have to drive to the city, as it is close to where we live. Thank you for taking great care if our fur baby.

I had really high hopes for this place, but unfortunately it did not meet expectations.

I left my 7lb dog at Inavale for 2 weeks. I was encouraged by the (perceived) natural setting, the staff’s explanation that they keep smaller dogs separate from large dogs, and the attitude of the kind, if very young, staff.

After picking my dog up, I noticed two things right away: a giant scab on her chin and a deep cut running across the entire length of her foot. I was told that the cut happened when she was playing with a large dog who accidentally stepped on her, slicing her foot open. They chose to close the cut themselves with superglue, did not seek vet attention, and did not notify me in any way. They didn’t even notice whatever had caused the chin scab and were not aware of it.

Later, it became clear that my dog had also developed a preference for eliminating on hard surfaces. I learned that Inavale actually has a concrete pad where the dogs play, something that was never told to me up front.

Of course, I will never take my dog here again. While she had fun, I can’t believe the staff casually lied to me about how large her play companions would be and didn’t even notify me when she had an injury that required intervention. Their excuse was that “she kept playing”, so it couldn’t have been that serious, which any experienced dog owner knows is just not the case. So disappointed.
