We enlisted the help of Kate and her team at Jabula for our new (and very fearful) Great Dane puppy. They gave us some great pointers, and she did really well for basic commands and learning a bit about the world around her. Then she grew into her “teenager” phase and it was a whole new game… lunging at people when they were jogging past us, barking aggressively at dogs while on the leash, and becoming completely territorial over our house and yard. She was 100+ lbs and doing her best impression of Cujo every time we had anyone so much as approach the door, let alone come inside. We called Kate again, and after an evaluation, two intensive sessions, and some human education, we have seen a complete 180 in our girl’s behavior. We enjoy peaceful walks, have friends over frequently, and she has become a favorite patio dog at several restaurants around town. We are so grateful to the whole Jabula crew for their help - we highly recommend them for any pup who needs a little extra help being their best selves!

Before we engaged the professional services of Jabula- and got Kenan as his trainer- we thought we had made a mistake getting a lively shelter puppy for our retirement years. Our daughter was going to take him because we couldn't deal with his behaviors, chewing everything (including my wife a few times). Kenan gave US the training we needed to build on the excellent training program at Jabula. In two weeks, he and his team transformed Winston into a dream dog! We still keep his collar on since we don't have a fenced yard but he rarely needs it- voice commands work most of the time.

He's a happy, well behaved boy who loves his home in the Green Mountains of Vermont. Training our dog at Jabula Academy was such a worthwhile investment!!

I took my dog to them for the two week board and train and that has been worth every penny! My boy is a 4 year old 110 pound dog that had struggled with reactivity and excitability. In addition to his better behavior in general, now I can take him on walks and he stays right by my side the whole time! Shout out to Maggie for helping my big guy!

We were referred years ago with our dog who had significant behavior and guarding issues. Not only did they help us then but we now have two vizslas and both have flourished and are confident, loving dogs because of the obedience, daycare and agility services offered by Jabula. We can’t say enough good things about the 2 week training program at Jabula Dog Academy and our dog’s trainer, Maggie. The program was a total game changer for us. Maggie worked for a little over 2 weeks with our 60+ pound lab who would steal food off the table, constantly bark at passers-by and was so unruly on the leash that our two children couldn’t walk him. He now sits patiently and quietly in his “place” in the living room while we eat and hangs out in the yard without all the barking. We’ve also been able to take him out to eat and on a camping trip, something we could have never dreamed of before the training. Thank you Jabula and Maggie!

I’ve been very happy with our experience with Jabula. We sent our extremely anxious rescue GSD to boarding camp that includes follow up lessons. The at home visit and lesson opportunities have been invaluable. Everyone has been kind, encouraging, and knowledgeable about how we need to train and interact with our dog and what he needs. Before Jabula training I was losing hope that we’d ever figure out the best for our dog. But now we are learning ways to be the best humans for our pet and we see much growth.
