Klipper Villas - Kailua, Hawaii

The Klipper Villas were exactly what we were looking for. It was basically a home away from home. the 4 bedrooms were awesome!! gave all of us room to decompress from days of activity and a place to lay our heads in comfortable beds. Having the kitchen space to store items and use of appliances was phenomenal. We will be back!! Mahalo to the staff at Klipper Villas!!

Great place to stay! We enjoyed a 3 bedroom two story villa for eight days - for our family of six, it was much more affordable than hotels in Waikiki, and you can’t beat the beauty of the windward side of the island! A few things that might be helpful for others considering staying here:
The staff will change your towels and take trash out each day, but don’t perform other cleaning services.
Our villa had a large washer and dryer in the first floor, which was very convenient.
Dishwashers are NOT installed in the kitchen - you are required to wash the dishes prior to checkout to avoid a cleaning charge.
Each villa has a charcoal grill adjacent to the lanai (ours also had lighter fluid on hand, but that might have been left by the previous guests).
The kitchen includes a standard coffeemaker, microwave/convection oven, full size refrigerator/freezer/ice maker, oven/stove.
Breakfast is included and available at the Klipper Golf Course restaurant (order from the menu - they have it ready in only 2-3 minutes, and can eat there or take it back to your villa.
If you need a pack and play, you can check one out from the Inns of the Corps at checkin.

Oh boy...that's all I can say. The first picture is the three bedroom where we stayed and apparently has "renovated inside". The second picture is the two bedrooms completely renovated but I never saw inside.
We only stayed one night. These three bedrooms had concrete walls, water damage that was barely repaired, cockroach infested and just plain yuck. Price was good but no thanks. We stayed at the inn at the corps in October and it was great. This was not. We left and went to Hickam AFB and stayed in a 2bdrm with a full kitchen that was 100 times nicer than the Klipper Villas. Do yourself a favor and stay at the inn or another base.

Flew in for my friend's last USMC ball, and we stayed here at the villas. My room was on the 1st floor and had non-stop ants and bugs! They were mainly along the tub and toilet area. Bugs were also coming in from under the door. Notified the desk, and they came to put ant traps, but that did absolutely nothing. Nothing is more worse than jumping out of the shower because of a huge bug or sleeping and feeling like ants are crawling on you. My friends were on the second floor and didn't have any, so I recommend not staying on the 1st floor

We've been here a week and it's been great! (as good as can be expected for our 14 day isolation since arriving on Island.) The villa is spacious, and ours has 2 separate bedrooms along with a full kitchen! (Including our own W/D inside our room and a private lanai/patio). It also has two large storage closets for the extra luggage/totes during PCS.
The staff has been wonderful too, from the front desk personnel to the service folks (linens, towels, cleaning supplies, etc), they do a great job taking care of us.
With all the usual issues trying to PCS during COVID restrictions, being able to stay here at the Villas has been a blessing! Definitely better here than in any regular lodging room or hotel room.

2-bedroom is MUCH nicer (it’s renovated) than the 3-bedroom units, if you can get it.
- Even if you put a 5th & 6th person on the sleeper sofa, the 2-bedroom unit is a significant upgrade from the 3-bed unit.
- Our 3-bedroom unit had one full bath and two half-baths. The 2-bedroom unit had two full baths.

The reservations desk staff are great.
You will have to ask for sleeper sofa linens.

Their systems are trash. Don’t expect to reach them by phone. Their computers were down more than half of the times I visited.

I stayed in 2558C at the Klipper Villas. The Villas are broken up with 2 units stacked on top of each other and a separate stand alone unit (2558A). Unfortunately, 2558C is a bottom unit. Be prepared to hear everything from the upstairs unit. Someone walking upstairs sounds like the ceiling is going to fall in on you. You can hear talking, “crying” from children, and if you’re lucky like me, you will hear kids run around all night. I would highly recommend booking the Villas for the extra space and proximity to beach and golf course- however, upstairs or 2558A is an absolutely must.

Located next to golf course on Kaneohe Marine Corps Base. It's like apartments, and are pretty clean inside. To make reservations you'll need to call the Inns of the Corps. It's also right next to the Fairway. They do have a restaurant and bar in walking distance.
