Excellent private ride for my almost 8 year old daughter and myself. My daughter is an inexperienced rider and Mauri gave her clear instructions and made her comfortable on her horse. The ride itself was beautiful, going through trails and underbrush with views of thebocean and mountains in the distance. We did a beginner ride, but he will tailor it for more experienced riders. Truly a unique experience to have such a small group on a ride and hear about the island from someone who lives there. The horses are well cared for and friendly, you can tell Mauri loves his animals!

For someone who knows how to ride and loves horses this is THE BEST experience! Very relaxed, beautiful scenery, happy healthy horses and a fun ride in gorgeous scenery.. no walking along nose to tail!
I loved the whole experience.. Mauri is a great horseman and his passion is contagious.. if you are a rider you have to see Maui this way! Cannot recommend enough! 😀

Mauri was amazing! He was unbelievably accommodating and kind. He gave real, kid-friendly feedback. My 5 year old and I had a blast and learned a lot about riding and about the area. He even stayed out with us after it started to rain. It's clear he loves his work. The horses are well-cared for. One of the major highlights of our trip- I would definitely recommend it to a friend!

Mauri was an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable of the area and his horses. He picked the perfect horse for me and my wife. The trail through the pineapple fields was fun and the views of Maui were spectacular!!! Horses and Maui are his passion and it shows in the riding experience for his guests.

Mauri our guide (and the Owner of the Ranch) was so welcoming when we first showed up. Our ride was scheduled for 8 but we got started at around 8:30. We got to learn about the horses’ personalities while he saddled them up. I brushed them and they were all very sweet. We rode through thick grasses and the horses are very well trained. They would trot to catch up with the others but if you just stay relaxed it is far from nerve wracking. We stopped at a beautiful view where Mauri talked about the history of the land. Then we went up and down hills back to the ranch, where the horses began trotting because they were so thirsty. We let them drink water then headed back to their stable. Mauri was very sweet and the best part was that it was a private ride! We felt very special and that the ride was catered to us. You can go at your own pace and let Mauri know how experienced you are. Would highly recommend to anyone and the drive up to the ranch was beautiful in and of itself.

My daughter took an one hour trail ride with Mauri. She enjoyed it the most among all the rides she had in the past 8 years. It was a combination of fun and excitement. My 5 year old son rode a horse for the first time in the arena. Mauri was very knowledgeable, patient and friendly. Highly recommended!

An unexpected experience. I was looking for a place to ride during a trip to Maui. I have been learning English riding at home (UT). Took a chance on a couple lessons. Mauri is amazing, he knows horses and had the ability to read what I was doing (usually wrong) plus could communicate how to fix it. He enjoys his work, loves his horses and cared about providing what I requested, and what I nèeded.

The stables are simple, a beautiful setting with the priority of the horses well being.

My husband is talking about attending the same meeting in Maui next year and I will definitely ride with Mauri again if we return.

You can't go wrong whatever your riding goals!!

Mauri is an excellent teacher and trainer. You can see that his horses are so loved and well taken care of. If you want to learn about the behavior and complexity of horses - not just go for a simple ride - then I highly recommend being under Mauri's extremely knowledgable guidance.
