Ohh Lyssabeth honestly I wouldn’t want anyone else being my daughter’s therapist. She’s amazing TRULY I feel so honored for her to help my daughter with navigating her big feelings and gives me the best advice when it comes to parenting and gives me a better understanding on how to help her with adjustment with her biological dad. She’s truly amazing and I trust her so much. My lawyer recommended me Lyssabeth and now I know why SHES AMAZING WITH KIDS. Fully recommend her to any mom who’s looking for a therapist. My daughter is 4 and she is hard to work with but Lyssabeth never gave up on her and continues to help her. Thank you Lyssabeth you were made for this. You’re changing kids lives. Thank you for everything.

My oldest child was in need of grief counseling because of the passing of my husband and her father when we started meeting with Dr. Mattoon.

Dr. Mattoon was clear and communicative with me, and she built an incredible relationship and understanding with my oldest. Because of the support and encouragement of Dr. Mattoon, my oldest is on better ground and armed with the tools to manage what I’m sure will be a permanently emotional space in her life.

My younger daughter is now at a point where I feel some counseling would help her in her grief and with missing her dad, so she’s now a patient of Dr. Mattoon.

When I approached my youngest to see what she thought about counseling, my oldest was listening. The oldest chimed in and reassured her sister that she didn’t need to worry because Dr. Mattoon was very helpful to her when she was a patient and gave her resources where she feels like she can be ‘confident that everything will be ok when she feels bad’ and in the end, that she can handle it.

Even though my youngest wasn’t a patient when my oldest was in therapy, Dr. Mattoon had already built a rapport with my youngest through the sessions going on with her older sister. Therefore, the question whether to seek help from Dr. Mattoon was an easy YES from my youngest.

We are grateful for Dr. Mattoon! She’s an easy YES!

I spoke with Lyssabeth about an issue with my daughter. While she did help and give me good advice, she wasn't professional when it came to payment information. The initial call was over an hour, which she would later tell me that she should have charged me for. I asked how long the call would be before hand as I was at work, and she said 15 minutes. At no time during the conversation did she say that the call was too long, needed to end, nothing. I set up an appointment for my daughter. She told me that it would be $150 per session. I had no idea that it was $150 for parent intake, and then an additional $150 for the actual appointment with my daughter. There was no clarification on the fact that it would be $150 just for her and I to speak. The appointment was on a Wednesday. The Monday night prior, at exactly 7:41 PM, she sent me the intake paperwork showing that the parent intake was $150. That late at night, I don’t check my emails as I get up very early in the morning. The next morning, on Tuesday, I cancelled the appointment. She blamed me for not cancelling in time, when she had sent the intake paperwork LESS than 2 days before the appointment, showing what the charges would be. She has a 48 hour cancellation policy. I was charged the entire $150 when I tried to cancel the appointment over a day ahead of time. I honestly feel like the intake paperwork was purposely sent late, so that I could not argue with the charges. I never signed a credit card authorization, either. Everything was done over the phone. While she may help, be careful before making an appointment and giving away card information.

I am incredibly grateful that I found Dr. Mattoon. After many challenging previous experiences with mental health care specialists and feeling like just a number in the system, I finally feel like I have found the right fit. She is knowledgeable, affirming, and down-to-earth. So thankful!
