I have been bringing my pets here for years and so does a lot of my family. Dr. Kot and his staff have always been informative as well as wonderful to my pets. I have 9 kitties that go there that all receive great care. Now that I actually work there, I can see the true behind the scenes and the passion and love they all have for animals as well as the care given.

Pros: Professional and courteous when interacting with people and pets. For existing clients they do answer after hours for emergencies.

Cons: They are busy. Difficult to get an appointment without declaring an emergency. Mine died because we waited and his symptoms weren’t showing as critical. Not the best for life saving care.

They are good for routine care, but have a backup for when the shtf.

I highly recommend Dr. Kot and the rest of the staff at the Maui Veterinary Clinic. When I moved to Maui, I was referred to Dr. Kot by a longtime friend, and I have been taking my dogs there ever since. I have an elderly dog and a one year old so we are dealing with both ends of the spectrum, and the doctors and staff have always exceeded my expectations across the board. They are very polite, very professional, and I trust them when its comes to the furry family members. I truly believe they have the best interests of not only my pups, but me as well.

There are many things I envy about my dogs life. He doesn’t have to work. He’s cuter, faster and a better swimmer than me. He can eat literal garbage and it never seems to upset his stomach. But I envy nothing more than the healthcare he has access to on this island, particularly with Dr. Kot. I wish I had a doctor who cared about me as much as Dr. Kot cares about the animals he treats. He and his staff always go above and beyond to make sure your animal is taken care of. They will squeeze you in if you need them to, even when there’s no room to squeeze. Dr. Kot will provide top notch care and still take the time to answer all your questions with patience, kindness and make sure to explain everything in a way that you’ll understand. He even called me once at 8 o clock at night, after what I’m sure was a long day of surgery for him, because I needed something for my pet insurance and he wanted to make sure I got it. Do you know how many times you have to call a human’s doctor’s office to get anything submitted to your insurance? It’s a lot. These guys have already been paid, and it doesn’t really affect them if I get reimbursed or not, and he still took the extra time to make sure everything was good for me. So, yeah, my dog is lucky to be a dog for a lot of reasons, but none more so than the fact he gets to go to Dr. Kot.

Dr. Kot has been our family vet for over a decade. He is compassionate, empathetic, and very knowledgeable. He takes the time to explain exactly what is going on with my mini poodle who is 17 years young. His staff is incredible and very responsive to medication refill requests and scheduling of appointments. I attribute much of my dog's longevity to Dr. Kot's care and expertise. I highly recommend Dr. Kot!!!

Dr. Kot and the staff at the "Maui Veterinary Clinic" has taken care of our "famiiy" of dogs since late 1990's He has also said "good-bye" with two of them (along with assistance from one of the staff.) Allowing us to make the decision where to have this done! I cannot say enough about this wonderful place to bring your pet (weather sick or not) for check-ups or otherwise. They have always greeted us with a smile and always had time for our questions, with answers, and options concerning our animals. The entire clinic is surrounded with the most gracious of "professional" people who love their jobs.

We have always been happy with the regular friendly and efficient service of Maui Veterinary However, last week has proven Dr Kot and Leslie to be the most exceptional, caring and concerned people I have ever known. With daily updates we felt “in touch” with our severely ill pet. Their compassion through this most difficult time has been amazing. The entire staff contributed to make Yeti’s passing as comfortable as possible and we are grateful beyond measure.
