Compassionate and friendly staff. First let me say that out of my 8 visits to this clinic since April 27, 2024 to Nov 21, 2024 with two different pets I have received without a doubt great care from all of the staff that I encountered. To name a few, Jessi at the front desk, Lisa the tech that took my very injured Stella back to the ER, Dr Theresa Kendall performing surgery, they were all professional and caring to me and my baby. Dr Hall treated Stella for the last two follow-up visits. Both doctors far exceeded my expectations.
I discovered this ER in April 2024. We live in the area part time as we are having to commute from our North GA home to here in an effort to keep up family property. Our beloved dog of 13 years had been diagnosed with a condition in Oct 2023 that we knew at best he would survive for maybe another year. On the morning of April 27, 2024 we knew it was time to help him. Since we were 3 hours from his regular vet we had to find someone closer. That day was and will forever be one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. The entire staff that day were so understanding and kind. They put us in a room that was as well decorated as being at home as possible. They explained the process and gave us all the time and privacy we needed. Never rushed us at all. We left there obviously heartbroken, but thankful that this traumatic moment was made more peaceful due to how the whole visit was overall.
Fast forward to November, and we had to take Stella our cat for a severe injury to her stomach area. This was a repeat experience with “stellar” service (punt intended😊).
While some people will complain about the higher prices I say this, it is an ER it is not a regular vet clinic. If your pet and your situation does not need an ER then call a regular vet clinic. If you need the ER then expect a premium for this service.
For us, we have all good things to say about this ER and their staff. We will return if there is ever a need. I highly recommend that you give them a try if you are in need of an emergency vet care clinic.

In 2024 I had to rush my dog Cowboy here at 2am because he unexpectedly collapsed. While the girl at the front counter drove me up the wall by acting extremely sluggish and disinterested in being there, I can't say enough about the veterinarian herself who saw Cowboy.
She gave me all the time I needed with him in the room after we discovered a ruptured splenic tumor. It was time. I had exhausted all of my money that night on tests and X-rays and didn't even have enough money to pay for his euthanasia. The veterinarian paid for it WITH HER OWN MONEY and allowed me to come back the next evening and pay her back. She cried with us as we endured the worst pain/moments of our lives, and said goodbye to our baby boy forever. I will never forget her kindness and I hope one day I can find a way to pay it forward. So much appreciation for that kindness at my darkest hour.

We made the hard decision to visit Mid GA Vet on a Saturday as our pup, Oliver, turned for the worse quicker than we anticipated and we did not want to risk him suffering on our behalf until our vet opened on Monday. We were nervous as we had never visited anyone other than our usual vet, especially as it would be his last day with us.
Mid GA Vet was a blessing, from being able to text them Friday night to let them know we were coming Sat morning (and getting us entered into the computer beforehand), to the front desk staff, Vet Tech Lisa L and Dr Kendall. You all were exceptional on our worst day and showed us kindness and compassion. I don't know how you do it, but God bless you all.
The setup of the private sitting room with the doorbell to signal when you are ready was very nice. There was no rush, there was no feeling that they needed to get to the next patient. You were left to say your goodbyes and give all the hugs and kisses that you can.
That day was awful, but it was what was right, and it was the compassionate course of action for our loving pup of 14 years. I'm sorry that you never got to meet Oliver during his good days, but thank you so much for taking care of him and his parents on his last day.

Last night our little pug was injured and required emergency care. Cricket was struggling to breathe and they immediately took her in the back to exam her.
This vet clinic staff was professional and extremely kind.
Over the last 50 years I have had puppy emergencies and I must say I was very impressed by the entire experience.

I rushed my uncle's pup in that was lethargic and not eating. I appreciated the quick action from the staff to get him treated. Unfortunately it was too late and the pup had to be euthanized. Even though this was not my pup I grieved like he was one of my own. I appreciate the kind and compassionate staff. I was able to comfort him while he crossed the rainbow bridge.

We have had the unfortunate need for emergency veterinary care several times for our medically complex dog. She is under the care of Auburn University Internal Medicine, and her emergencies always seem to happen in the weekend. The staff and veterinarians are always kind and compassionate. I recognize that emergency care is expensive so I never complain about the cost. There are options for third party financing. I do have a few suggestions, though: why did you get new lobby chairs? They are awful. And, each time I’ve been here I’ve seen someone leave with a deceased pet in a bag. I highly recommend a separate door for these folks to leave from.

We have used this pet ER twice now. Most recently my cat Milo had a life threatening medical emergency. Everyone was super nice and informative about our options. They helped us find a company to fiance our cats surgery to save his life. They also worked with us on how to reduce the remaining balance we paid out of pocket to make sure he still got the care needed. They kept is updated by text and phone and we felt our baby was in good hands. If your pet is having an emergency I highly recommend this vet. The office is also very clean and nicely decorated inside with a family waiting room, bathrooms, and coffee/snacks. Thanks everyone who worked hard to keep my baby alive! - Ashley Wallace

We brought our pup in Sunday morning because he had surgery on his stomach on Wednesday and Sunday His incision site was bleeding. He was seen and cleaned up and told it was his staples they replaced, and he was fine. When we got home he was still bleeding. So we finally got into our vet Monday and they said he was bleeding not because his staples but because he incision was infected. How could you guys have missed that when looking at him. Makes me not feel very comfortable bringing our pets in, in am emergency situation.
