Dr. Black has given us the most consistently dismissive experience on every visit. We’ve waited longer for her to arrive than the time she actually spent with us. She never gave us a real chance to explain what’s going on with our pets, and I’ve had to stop her from leaving the examination room countless times just to get basic clarification on her vague responses. Her demeanor is consistently cold and impersonal, with no attempt to build trust or show genuine concern for our pets. It all felt purely transactional. The lack of care makes it hard to believe that our pets’ well-being is the priority. I don’t expect over-the-top friendliness, but I am paying for a service. At the very least, I expect basic communication and a genuine sense of care. And if time was a factor, that still doesn’t excuse the lack of effort because the effort simply wasn’t there. I’m absolutely tired of having to fight just to get basic care for my pets with Dr. Black. I genuinely regret how much money I’ve spent here for such cold, rushed, and unhelpful treatment.

The only positives have been the friendly front desk staff and the cleanliness of the facility.

The staff was very compassionate about my situation.Dr.Carlucci was very patient about my situation. The staff was very gentle with my cat and how I was feeling. While I waited on funding they sent me pictures and a short video. I highly recommend them if your looking for a good vet hospital for your pet. Thanks to all of you who helped my cat through a very traumatic experience and myself. I didn't get to actually meet Dr.Black but the other vet who is Dr. Carlucci was very knowledgeable and respectful about my situation. But Dr.Black and Dr.Carlucci saved my cat and I will always be eternally grateful.

Dr. Black has been taking great care of my two dogs for a little over a year now. The one in the picture has allergies galore and she got her allergies under control with Cytopoint! She also did dentals on both of my dogs with one having 14 extractions safely and she kept me informed after the surgery about my babies!

She examined my ball python and bearded dragon as well! She will listen to you when you are worried about your animals both little and small! 🙂

They did a good job removing a sis on my dog spunky and did the surgery in December of 2024. My dog spunky never got a sis again. I liked the vet place.

I can’t put into words how amazing Dr. Black and her staff are! They have saved my baby’s life twice now and I am forever grateful!
They are compassionate, kind, and very affordable. Dr. Black was booked a week and a half out, but we had an emergency. We first took him to another clinic that charged over $600 just for tests and told me it would be another $3000 for surgery… the next morning I called and talked to Dr. Black directly and she was able to not only fit my baby in, but also remove a toy that was lodged in his intestines for a third of the cost! Thank you Dr. Black and everyone on your staff, y’all are truly a blessing 🥰

I have been going to Dr. Black since she first came to Midtown. Dr. Haney was still there, about 1983. She has been great with all my animals but especially with my heart dog, Doci. I won't go to any other vet unless I need a specialist.
