Mission Pets Mart is a great place. Id you want to go to a pet store where the employees are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, go here. It has that small town vibe to it, basically because that’s what it has always been. A small town pet shop in the big city.

But, don’t be fooled by the size outside… it has a large aquarium section, great selections for your dog, cat, rabbit, hamster, or other household pets, reptiles, amphibians, and food for ALL of those little guys. Plus, their adoption area is great and you will want to take a new friend home.

I have been coming here for over 15 years for grooming. I have never had a problem with the grooming. The lady who does the grooming is very friendly takes her time. Great place to get your dog.

This is absolutely the best Pet Store in the Midwest! Highly suggest going whether or not you enjoy pets. This store mainly focuses on fish which is great. They keep both fresh and saltwater (don't get your hopes up about the coral) and they also have some of the most exotic fish available: redtail catfish, grouper, arowana, halfbeak, flowerhorn, and exotic guppies. I would like to also point out that their employees are wonderful. Great service and hospitality! (especially Alex) This store has helped me to achieve my goal of having many beautiful tanks!

I used to bring my dog here all the time a few years ago, I noticed the quality of his grooming started to decline so we switched to a different groomer for the past year or so. They ended up moving so I figured I would give this place one more shot…that was a mistake.

I took my golden retriever on Monday and dropped him off at 7:30am.
I finally call the shop at 5:15pm asking if he’s ready to which I am told it will be another 30 minutes. I waited and then showed up at 5:45 as instructed.

When I arrived, they made me pay first before seeing my dog (I Should have asked for them to bring him out first). They brought my dog out and it looked like a child had got ahold of him. His hair was wild, uneven, patchy and WET! It literally looked like they stopped half way and said “good enough”. I don’t even understand how they could groom him if they didn’t take the time to fry him off before cutting.

The groomer stripped his tail feathering and left random strands of long hair in between patches. His stomach has patches of hair missing and I can tell they didn’t even touch him from the neck up because he still had pieces of dried mud behind his ears from the rain this weekend. He was there for almost 12 hours and came out looking worse.

When I asked to speak to the groomer and voiced how bad it was, I was met with “the groomer is already gone for the day but you can bring him back tomorrow”. Needless to say I will not be bringing my animals back.

It’s very clear that this shop either needs to tell people they don’t have time for their pet when trying to make the appointment or be honest about their skills.

We get our dog's haircut here and the lady that runs the operation is great. She does a good job. He's always on time and has a pleasant attitude. What more can you ask for?

This is definitely in the top 5 of the grossest pet stores that I've ever been to 🙁
Their Facebook and website is very deceiving.
It's extremely dingy and smells horrible (for a place that doesn't even carry rodents)...
The aquarium's were all dirty and hard to see through. Some of them I couldn't actually see into.
The selection of reptiles was lacking majorly. One snake.. 2 tarantulas.. one frog.
I hope this place gets some help to make some much needed improvements. It could be a cool pet store one day.
