I took a young one year old cat there 3/25/25. The lady at the front desk wasn’t very nice. I told her my sister n law had passed away and she had like 9 cats outside. My brother isn’t able to take care of them. He has COPD in stage 4. I can’t afford all the money they were spending on cat food a month which is probably 100 or less. The lady at the front said you know this is a kill shelter. I didn’t know that at all. When I pulled around to the back the lady didn’t even try to get her out so the cat jumped out and took off. I thought they usually had someone else do that but I may be mistaken. Its just said that she just automatically say they kill cats there. I was before that someone came from Human Society of Hunstville and got them.

I can't thank them enough for going absolutely above and beyond to help us find our sheep. They sent me Facebook updates of the local community and where my sheep were traveling. Definitely folks that care! Thank you

These people are absolutely not friendly and I wouldn't suggest a one star not even a half they are not professional at all and think they can talk to people just however and it's ok for the love of God don't let these people fool you

As a regular volunteer I have absolutely loved my time here! The staff is wonderful to work with and cares immensely for public safety and the health and safety of the dogs and cats that come in. They do everything they can to get the animals rescued or adopted, and have done a wonderful job on improving shelter quality. Even now they are continuing to try and make the shelter better for all and it shows! If you want a pet, I strongly encourage you to give this place a shot!

I called animal control to pick up a wild kitten dropped at my house. They told me they do not pick up cats. Someone tell me what's wrong with this picture? I am a responsible pet owner that spays and neuters my pets.

This shelter is trying to kill a beautiful red Doberman because they don't like this dog he has not bitten or hurt anyone but yet there trying to put him under Emily's law and yet they say he is gonna be killed Monday please help stop this from happening I have everything in place for this dog
