Joy was wonderful to work with at Mountain Paws! We had a great, intimate experience harnessing each dog and preparing it for the sled ride. The ride itself was incredible, and Joy was sure to take great photos of us. Afterwards, the hot cocoa and cookies were a nice touch. Overall, 10/10 experience and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Pagosa Springs.

You Gotta Do This! It is well worth the price. Joy, the guide, is amazing. She made sure we were prepared for each section of the trail and even took pics/videos of us mushing. Helping put the gear on the dogs really made us feel part of the team. Watching the dogs do what they love doing is such a pleasure and the scenery is beautiful. We did 2 trails on 2 different days and are planning on going back next season to do 2 more. I highly recommend this to EVERYONE!

Dog sledding was one of the main reasons we visited Pagosa Springs, and it did not disappoint! From the time of booking and throughout the experience, Joy was so helpful and patient in figuring out the best way to get my family of 5 on the ride of our lives! We spent a while getting to know the dogs before learning how to harness them in and connect them to the sleds. Then we received a "driving lesson," and off we went into the Winter wonderland, full "dog" ahead! Feeling the power of the dogs pulling us was quite remarkable, and the ride through the snow even more so! I was a bit intimidated by the idea of driving the sled, but it was no problem and loads of fun! Our kids rode inside, nice and cozy warm, and they enjoyed every moment! After the long ride, we helped Joy remove harnesses and then enjoyed some warm drinks and reflected on our time. It was truly wonderful and a one of a kind experience we won't soon forget! If you're in the area and considering dog sledding, you've gotta go with Mountain Paws! Joy and her team of dogs are unmatched!

Joy was so great! It was just me and my husband and we had fun getting to know the dogs and getting them harnessed and ready. Joy does a great job explaining how to drive them. Lots of work! Highly recommend! She also takes beautiful photos! Thank you, Joy!

My family of 5 went on this trip. Our 13 year old even got to drive the sled. Joy is absolutely incredible, kind and a great instructor. The dogs are friendly and joy allowed all of us to help harness the dogs to the sled. The trail was incredible with lots of snow! You will need all wheel drive for the Castle Creek location. Definitely recommend Joy and Mountain Paws!

Amazing experience from the scenery, to the sledding and the customer service. ️❤️Joy and her dogs are great️❤️! You will experience dog sledding first hand. You will receive instructions and training. I have done numerous tours/ experiences in outdoor recreation and this is among the best. Book early, these are small groups with personal attention. Our experience was with 2 sleds(families) in a beautiful remote location that has a wilderness feel, exactly the way I wanted my family to experience dog sledding!

This was our favorite activity (other than skiing) that we participated in on our trip to Colorado! We got to interact with all the dogs to our hearts' content. Joy was a great guide, very attentive to teaching us how to drive the sleds and making sure we all got opportunities to help and drive. She was flexible with the kids, as well. Overall, I'd highly recommend it!
