Pass and ID clerks Raul and Mr fox are in the wrong job and should be at the top of the list for downsizing. They're incredibly rude and arrogant.
There's usually about 20 people waiting for an hour on average. At $100 per hour, that's $2,000 waste of taxpayer money for every hour people are sitting around for the inefficient process. Also, the rules seem to change every week and Cassie seems to be the only one that knows the rules. She always has to come out and explain to the others what the rules are. This group needs someone to come in and fix this inefficient, bad attitude, angry bunch.

UPDATE: I had a delightful experience with Jackie this morning and I'm forever grateful for her kindness and wonderful manners. Thank you, Jackie. You really made a difference in my day today 🙏

I submitted an ICE complaint that clearly went nowhere as I received a reply from some guy in Monterey CA apologizing... it's a broken system and the worst part is they know it is but are too comfortable sitting on their butts to do anything about it.
One of the men who works there really needs an attitude check. His demeanor is unacceptable. This is a short and awfully overweight man in his late 50s to early 60s. When discussing the reason why I got a parking ticket (and I use the word discussing very laterally because he basically was talking down on me telling me to be quiet), he threatened me to add points to my violation if I didn't stop talking. He proceeded to tell me that "he had been doing what he does for over 14 years", so I basically had no right to tell my end of the story. He also told me that people like me get parking tickets because they "lack the grit to look for parking and they make excuses for their poor behavior". I tried telling him it was an honest mistake but, rather than acting like he even heard what I was saying, he told me to shut up or he would give me 6 points instead of 4. I'm a professional working on a Naval ship on pier 13. I oftentimes I have to drive and have driven upwards of half an hour to find parking. What he said and how he handled the conversation was entirely unprofessional, regardless of fault. There were 2 witnesses during this unfortunate event, a young lady who seemed entirely uncomfortable and another older gentleman who kept on laughing and mumbling words under his breath. What kind of establishment are you running? This is shameful at best. Please have a serious talk with these individuals about professional expectations. Our Navy sailors and their families do not need this type of abuse. He could have easily just said "I'm sorry you misunderstood the area where you parked was not adequate for parking" and just move on. Instead he took it upon himself to be aggressive, threatening, and unprofessional. I hope some kind of follow up from management will actually take place, especially now that the federal workforce is shrinking. My tax dollars shouldn't be spent for this type of service and this individual really gives the entire office a bad name.

Vets stay away from this place. if you want a base pass so you can shop at navy exchange and commissary, you can do that at walmart. I would not waste my time. The people work there are civilians and one particular, Mr Smith, claimed to be a veteran. They only work there to collect paychecks nothing more. There were people waiting in line for hours and they were laughing and chatting. Each worker takes longer than an hour to process one pass. I don't always disagree on government spending if it used to benefits the public, but with these the taxpayers' $$ that are being wasted at its finest.

Audrey was extremely helpful even though I was at the wrong location. She set me up with what I needed and answered all of my questions. Pass and decal can sometimes be a lengthy process, but Audrey took the time to male my day a little bit better!

Absolutely ridiculous experience trying to get turnstile access. Following google maps walking directions on my way back on to base, I entere through Norman Scott, crossed the sky bridge to the other side of the tracks, and went to the office (20min walk) only to find out that they do not allow access to the office from inside the base. Had to walk back through an exit turnstile and double back to the office (10 min). Was seen quickly and registered to find out it would take 30 min before the turnstiles would work so I had to do that 20 min walk again. Certainly wasn’t happy but remained calm and respectful since I know the sailors working in the office have no say over the policy. Know I am not the only one who has had this issue. Whoever is in charge of this place should implement a window-service on the base side for simple matters such as this, ridiculous I had to do almost an hour of walking to get to the same building. Inconsiderate to the thousands of hard-working sailors that are stationed here.

Woman making the IDs was rude. She told me I would have to come back in 6 months for another ID and when I asked why her response was “I’ll let you figure that out for yourself.” I now know why, but she could’ve just told me without being so short and rude about it, I was only following orders to get a new ID. Two stars because I made an appointment so I only had two wait a few minutes. In and out quickly.
