I had a terrible experience with No Leash Needed and would absolutely not recommend them. I brought my sweet Staffordshire Terrier for an evaluation before boarding, and from start to finish, the entire process was disorganized and unprofessional.

We dropped him off at 8 AM and were told nothing throughout the day. When I arrived at 4 PM to pick him up, no one greeted me or acknowledged me when I walked in. When I asked how he did, the employee seemed caught off guard and simply said, “Oh, no one called you? He failed.” There was no explanation, no courtesy call during the day, and no communication whatsoever.

When I pressed for more details, they brought out a manager who was extremely rude and dismissive. It was clear that she was judging my dog based on his appearance rather than his actual temperament. My dog is anxious and vocal when nervous, but he is incredibly sweet. Instead of evaluating him fairly, it felt like they had already made up their minds the moment they saw him.

Beyond the lack of professionalism, the facility itself was dirty and poorly maintained. If they can’t even keep the front area clean and organized, I can only imagine what goes on behind the scenes.

This place does not seem to care about dogs as individuals, nor do they prioritize customer service. If you love your pet, take them somewhere that actually treats them with respect and gives you, as the owner, clear and timely communication.

I can't say enough about the great experience I had with these guys! Easy to register online and a quick phone call to set the grooming appointment. They knew my dog before we got there so she loved the immediate attention and I liked the personalized welcome.

The grooming was top-notch and Stella came out looking/smelling incredible! They noticed an infection on her paw and took care to medicate it too. I couldn't be happier with the whole experience and I'm looking forward to seeing if Stella likes their doggy daycare too!

Brought my dogs to Kirkwood location for an overnight stay.. I had Aspen groomed once and please so I gave them a try for boarding for a night. Nails were not cut on Cara as requested. Aspens were fine 18.00 charge for each dog. Aspen smelled like poop. Cara’s nails aren’t cut but charged. The receptionist was unfriendly. There were added fees incorrect and she corrected bill. Noticed Cara’s nails long last night. When I got home they konked out. Frustrated!

New review: Received a call from management of No Lead Needed concerned and crediting Cara’s nails not being cut. I’ve always been treated great by the staff before so I was shocked. I think this was out of ordinary. Aspen may of lied in something. Who knows! Generally I’m happy. Never credited for nail trimmed charged but not done. Manager must of forgot. They lost a customer due to no credit if 18.00. Very sad!

Always a great day at No Leash, Kirkwood.
I took a second dog for first time assessment and daycare. Once again the staff, especially Skylar, provided great care with showing this baby the ropes at daycare.
The staff is great! Skylar completely changed my first pups life and now a second pup is happy and learning to socialize. NL Kirkwood is the best.

My Mini-Aussie, Scout, visits the Kirkwood No Leash Needed for daycare and socialization. She is typically more interested in playing with people than other dogs but does very well at NLN. I particularly appreciate the webcam access so I can check in on her. And a huge shout out to their grooming team who are artists and perfectionists who treat her with lots of love!

I have left my baby for boarding twice, both for a long time and both times I had a great experience. They have a boarding option for not so friendly dogs, which is great for us. We can watch her on the cameras which is great when you’re away, and when you call they will give you a great status on your pup.

Made an appointment to meet with the trainer Will for the Kirkwood location. When my husband and I arrived on the day of we were told there was no appointment scheduled under my name. Upon further investigation the lady at the front desk told us that our appointment was canceled at 10am that morning. No one had called to let us know. The girl at the front apologized and said she would talk to her manager but there wasn't anything she could do for us that evening. It's been a full 24 hours and there has been no follow up call, no formal apology and no offer to reschedule. Definitely not a good first impression, and we will not be sending our puppy here.
