We had wonderful results with Angie from OffLeash with our six month old Australian Shepherd, Lewis. Lewis had a great start with obedience to begin with but we only had experience with positive reinforcement trainers (treat trainers) from 8wks of age. The six month mark was the perfect time for Lewis to begin learning from an e-collar. It was almost instant how it allowed him to focus on us and what we were asking him instead of all the exciting distractions in the park around us. My husband and I were Amazed!! We were very consistent with our "homework" Angie gave us each week and we saw positive change daily. Angie has great calm leadership qualities and was patient with my questions and learning of the new commands. She encouraged me to text her with questions in between sessions. (We did the four week package.) This is a great company and I've already recommended them to family and friends. Everyone I've spoke with from the receptionist, Stephanie to the owner Trish and another talented Salem trainer, Joy, they are all kind, professional people who love dogs and love their job. They're the only trainers I'll use from now on. Thank you for your help, Angie!

Sending Charlie to the 2-week board and train with Angie at OLK9 made a big difference—for both him and my mom. As a stray rescue from the shelter, Charlie had no prior training, struggled with over-excitement and reactivity, and was simply challenging for my mom to manage on her own as a first-time dog owner.

Thanks to Angie’s work, Charlie came home a better version of himself: more focused, increased ability to relax, responsive, and much more manageable. Just weeks after his training, we were able to take a week-long trip to the coast together with my own pack of three dogs. Charlie was able to enjoy beach walks, neighborhood strolls, travel days, and plenty of downtime—all while using his new skills and commands.

My mom and Charlie are still practicing and building their confidence together, but the foundation OLK9 provided has set them up for success. She now has the tools and support to enjoy having a dog, and Charlie finally has the chance to live the life he deserves—by her side, wherever she goes.

Joy had our two year old 85 lbs mixed breed, Oakley, for 2 weeks and we were so impressed with his obedience to heel, stay, sit, come when called, he is also calm more often 😂. Joy’s communication with us was excellent with daily updates, comments, videos and photos. We were frankly amazed at his good behavior when visiting hardware store with us. The work joy did with luna, was absolutely transformative. If I didn't see the changes with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed it. Luna, is so much fun to be with. K9 training center, Salem responded to my request for help after I'd had my dog returned to me after spending 8 weeks with another trainer. He wasn't trained to the level they advertised and he had two wounds in his neck from misuse of an e-collar (One of the wounds even had necrotic tissue in it due to negligence on the part of the business according to my vet).

Trish, one of the owners, and another trainer, met myself and my 11 month old, 107 lb dog, who I was afraid might have been ruined by the previous trainer, to see if she could help me with his training because I'm physically incapable of providing him with the training he needs at this point in time.

After spending several hours with Trish, and numerous other members of the K9 training center, Salem, it was clear they understood my dog's personality and desire to please made him highly trainable and Trish was sure they could help him. She went in to detail with me about the approach she felt they should take with my boy and laid out a training plan for him that would help us reach my goals.

I was really impressed and excited to know I'd be able to get him the help he needed. Then she said that first we needed to give him time to heal up his neck wound and to decompress from the stress of his previous experience. Then there was also a chance he might not be quite ready mentally to move into high level training. If he's still sleeping a lot, which he does, his brain might not be as mature as his body. So I went home knowing there was a plan in place and it would just be a while before he would be able to start it.

The great thing was that I got several emails in the days following from Trish. She'd given me a site to check out and some suggestions on how to work with my dog until he was able to go back to be with them. It was really great to see such great follow up from them.

Angie did an amazing job training our 9 month old dog Maui. The daily communication, photos and videos we received showing the progress they were making was incredible. It also made us feel like we were still connected to our dog and were with him along his journey. The amount of training they completed in 2 weeks is awesome and we are very happy and pleased with the results. Angie was great with her communication throughout the the process and you can tell she truly loves animals and they love her. The level of confidence we now have in our dog allows us and him to do so much more and explore many more things than before. Its only been 1-2 days since we got him back and he has already had many compliments on his outstanding behavior. Thanks again to Angie and her team for all their work, we couldn't be happier!
