After a traumatic experience with a different Women’s Clinic, I felt very safe here. The nurse was kind, listened to my concerns, and respected my boundaries. Scheduling has not been super easy, but understandable.

I recently received a referral to the Center for some pretty severe gynecological issues. I've called to follow up four times, each time being on hold for at least 30-45 minutes, only to be told that my case is still "under review". I was told my case would be cleared for scheduling two weeks ago. The receptionists, with a few exceptions, are rude and dismissive. One even transferred me to another department that had nothing to do with my issue before I could ask her any more questions, which wasted an hour of my time. I would recommend avoiding this place.

I have been with this department for years and just wanted to give my flowers to my PCP, as well as her team! OHSU truly does care about their patients when providing quality care. Being a minority is a plus to this, as discrimination often effects our treatment - OHSU woman's health especially my PCP has honest vocal views that never judges, or makes me feel less then. They are my solution to advocating for myself.
Give it a try, and be open to the many providers that may be best for you!

My gyno referred me to the OHSU Vulvar Clinic. It seems like they never got my records at first, so my gyno had resend them.

Every time that I called OHSU, it would be a 17 to 20 minute hold, and I would receive varing answers. The clinic RN would go over the recs and then have reception reach out to the patient. This has been going on since I was referred back in mid-August. I called the Vulvar Clinic and was told the doctors aren't taking any new patients and that the doctors are booked out all the way TIL MARCH.

Today, I got a text message asking if I'd still like to schedule, lol. I almost laughed and cried at the same time.

OHSU, do you even care about how awful your referral line is? How people are suffering waiting for an appointment with a specialist. No, it's because you don't care, just like any other Corporate Healthcare out there.

I was showing clear symptoms of vaginismus and informing my doctor I was in excruciating pain during and after sex and she told me it was normal. It wasn’t until a friend told me to mention the term vaginismus to her for her to look into it. I told her I was bleeding during sex, nauseous, and couldn’t control muscle contractions. She told me to dilate and that it was normal. It is now two years later and I am 20, I was told that as a teenager. I now know it isn’t normal and I’m horrified at the idea that they are telling other young people this.If you’re going here, be informed that if they tell you this it is not true. Push them further.

I've been an established patient for nearly 10 years at this clinic. I did lots of research to find the right provider specific for my complicated reproductive health. Recently called to set up an appointment and was told none of their providers are accepting new patients. I am not a new patient. The receptionist was very rude and was not helpful in any way whatsoever. I would steer clear of this clinic at all costs. Not to mention you will wait on hold 20+ minutes to speak to someone only to be disconnected and then have to call back and wait again. Find another clinic provider that actually cares about their existing patients and is helpful.

Let me start out by saying the midwives here are all AMAZING! The care I received here during my pregnancy was top notch. I met with several of the midwives throughout my prenatal care, and they were all fantastic. If it were just for the midwives, they would get 10 stars. However, OHSU and the line to call to get a hold of anyone at the women's health center is unacceptable and has been the entire 11 months I have been a patient. It always takes over an hour and multiple hang ups to get through to anyone. It's beyond frustrating that you're told to call to schedule a two week visit, your caring for a newborn and a toddler, and you have to dedicate an entire afternoon to just trying to schedule an appointment. Likewise, a month later when I'm calling to try to get a hold of a nurse to discuss potential postpartum depression, I have spent the entire morning on hold with two hang ups so far. There is no option for a call back. There is no option to even select a nurse or scheduling. Absolutely unacceptable care for your patients who are in very vulnerable and stressful times of their lives. This has NOT been a temporary issue like they like to state, as even back in summer 2023 it was an issue. Do better.

Seems I've had the same experience as others. The front desk team should be replaced w/ ppl w/ a baseline of customer service etiquette. I spoke to a young women who told me where to fax imaging as I'm trying to be seen by a Dr for extreme endometriosis pain & it's been 2 wks since I've heard anything. Turns out she gave me the incorrect fax # or a # that was bogus. In addition every time i call it takes at least 60 min for someone to answer & every time it sounds like I'm talking to a high schooler who hates their job & by default is rude on the phone. How there is zero oversight on the administrative side of this office is mind blowing. The doctors may be great, but bedside begins at the front desk which needs to be looked at by administration. Appalling.
