Winston and I had a great experience working with Tim. We had been to two group training sessions with another trainer, but Winston’s manners were still not where they needed to be. Tim came to the house and worked with us once a week for 6 weeks and Winston was a different dog. He doesn’t jump all over visitors when they come to the door and he responds better to me. I would never let him outside of our fenced yard off leash, but with Tim’s encouragement I tried it and Winston responded well even with the distraction of the whole high school cross country team running by the house. I had trouble getting him to jump into the car and he does that now with ease. Thank you Tim for helping Winston become more obedient and more fun to be around.

Tim is an amazing trainer with both the dog and the owners!!!!! Our Sasha responded to him the very first day!!! Tim is the best dog trainer I’ve ever seen. He kept our dog for 3 weeks and trained her. When we got her back she was totally changed! She’s much easier to have around now and we have a way to constructively work with her so she’s much more enjoyable to have around our family. He even came to our home for a couple follow up visits to make sure that we knew how to build on what he’d taught her during the training and that’s helped her and us make the transition. The staff at On Command were professional, knowledgeable, experienced, and extremely effective.

Last year we adopted Stella from the shelter and she had fear aggression issues. She was a sweet dog, but after a rough life the fear hid that sweetness from strangers. We enrolled her in an 8 week course at On Command within the first month we had her and their training completely changed her.

She spent the first week of training on site from morning to night and we noticed a difference after the first day. When we'd pick up Stella every evening they would show us her progress and what we need to do to ensure she continued to progress. After the first week On Command gave us a routine and schedule to follow to further advance her training and every week they made a home visit to monitor her progress and give advice as needed.

The staff at On Command taught us that many issues with dogs comes from how we as owners interact with them. Learning how to be a proper pack leader, not just the human who loves on and feeds the dog, has helped us with our other three dogs.

Ten days ago we started to use the techniques they taught us on the other dogs and, not that they didn't behave before, but the pack is much calmer now. We aren't to the level of putting a milk bone on a dog's snout and recording a video of him calmly sitting there and not going for the bone, but they all are beginning to look to us for guidance in unknown or unsettling situations.

Some people have said the service is pricey, and while it may be expensive it is worth every penny. As long as you follow their guidance and continue to reinforce the training with your dog you won't regret it. Your dog will be calmer, which will make you calmer, and if your dog has any aggression issues the cost of training is far cheaper than the cost of a lawsuit if your dog bites a person. The training improves the safety and well-being of your family and your dog, I couldn't recommend it more.

We were in the middle of having our puppy be trained to be a seizure alert dog for our middle daughterand and I unexpectedly had my youngest daughter and she was in the nicu. Well the day we had a outing with the trainer my daughter came home from the nicu and he said he was gonna get with me and reschedule and to this day I still have not heard from him or the company. I called and txted him numerous times and 10 months later I still have not heard anything. I do not recommend this company.

Awesome place, my pup loves going to day care, the staff is wonderful and full of energy, they keep the dogs busy all day. When I pickup my pup after work he is happy and tired. Gonna be hard to go somewhere else in the event I no longer work in Joplin. 5 star all the way!

On Command K9 Academy has completely transformed our Goldendoodle! Where as she used to be unruly and crazy, she is now well behaved and such a PLEASURE to be around! Tim really gave us the tools we needed to help her be the beloved part of our family we had always hoped for! She made so much progress so quickly and has maintained it! They have been super helpful. I signed up for obedience classes that didn't start for 2 weeks. One week in, I was having a great deal of trouble with my dog and went on for advice and they helped me fix the issue personally without having to wait for the scheduled lesson. They are very dedicated to their clients and dogs.
