I would never recommend Optimum’s service, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this store. One particular male employee, possibly of Spanish or Indian descent, was extremely rude, unhelpful, and lacked basic customer service skills. Instead of assisting me or making a simple call to clarify the situation, he was hostile and dismissive.

Rather than matching his aggression, I left and contacted Optimum’s call center to resolve the issue—and I’ll also be reporting the store. Dealing with rude employees on top of already paying for subpar cable and internet service is unacceptable. If you’re considering Optimum, do yourself a favor and switch to Verizon Fios or another provider. Save your money, time, and sanity.

Mylana provided me with EXCELLENT customer service. Her attitude was AMAZING. My problem was better than solved, she answered a long standing question I had and upgraded my equipment. Thank you Optimum and give Mylana a raise! 🙏🏾

Moved from Fort Green with Spectrum to Bed Stuy with Optimum. Had an appointment scheduled for a technician to come out from 2-5 pm here it is 7:35 pm and no tech has made their way. Called 3x and the representative is saying that the tech is on their way and should be there 10 mins ago over 2 hours I have been waiting. If i can give 0⭐️’s that would be suffice. Dissatisfied, frustrated, impatient etc. What time will the tech show or is this a sign to not get overpriced cable Just received a rescheduled date that I didnt request. I will never stay home for a tech again. Optimum do BETTER.
Ayana (Supervisor) rescheduled appointment after the mess of waiting and being rescheduled without me actually rescheduling. Optimum is a FRAUD, UNRELIABLE and dishonest. ⭐️

Horace came out and saved the day ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The customer service sucks from the women at Optimum, it is better from the men via calling the main number.
Be sure to request an early time slot as the later times are subject to change. 😔😏

This is the WORST location in Brooklyn. The manager and customer service representatives are all lackadaisicial, they barely event want to help, or look like they care. When you walk in the store, nobody greets you or acts like they want to help. You can't call to ask them a single question like If they have equipment and when you go to the store they give the WRONG equipment because NOBODY CARES. You have to be on top of all the employees at every stage of the process because they DO NOT CARE about anything. Even when you say thank you they dont even have the decency to follow up. The general lack of service and care is exactly the reason why I cancelled this account for Tmobile.

I returned a broken modem and they (an employee) opened a fraudulent mobile account under my name. It had a different billing address to my actual billing address (so Optimum auto enroll autopay for mobile doesn’t actually verify the billing address, it’s more of a service address). They also slightly change all of your personal information, so you never receive emails for billing statements. The fraudulent billing address means you CANNOT cancel the fraudulent account or credit card fraud that occurs by calling Optimum’s customer service. You will not have access to the mobile number or PIN since it was created without your consent which are the only other ways to verify your identity even though they are charging your credit card. You have to go back in store to risk giving them your SSN to a store that already committed identity theft. I suggest for past customers to fine tooth comb over their credit card statements for any bogus charges, as I doubt this is the only identity theft that occurred from this location.

I filed an FTC complaint for the identify theft which will go into a police report. Please link where on optimum’s website where it links to that email address and I can give you details of the report to check if the employee is still employed

I wish I could give no stars. The staff at the downtown Brooklyn location are total idiots. I went in to replace my broken phone. The salesclerk that I dealt with was acting as if he couldn't understand what I wanted. When it was time to make the transaction he claimed that my card account was rejected. I had no trouble using the card to pay off what was owed on the broken phone. He asked for my ss number to check my account. He then claimed the account was frozen. I already sent a message to the company through their chat and if I see any suspicious activity regarding my credit I will be suing him and the company for fraud. The worst customer service EVER!!
