Went for dinner and it was a cute place! Lots of seating and no wait for a Saturday night. Ordered the clams oreganata and they were fishy and extremely small for nearly $20. For dinner we had the Penne Vodka and Linguine with Shrimp, Asparagus & Grilled Chicken in a Scampi Sauce. Both needed seasoning, lemon or oil olive or both. Portions were a good size at least! However they ran out of bread for the table at 7:30 which is ridiculous. Staff were attentive for the most part and the food was decent. $110 (without tip) for two people is a pretty good deal! May try it again for a dinner special or something.

Went this past Sunday, food was very good. The waiter if you can call him that was absolutely horrible. Forgot drinks, never was around, just handed us a stack of menus and walked away. Took me 45-50 min to just get the check because he was no where to be found, when he did come into the dining room he never looked at us or came over, kids all wanted dessert but no way I was sitting there for another hour plus for that. I ALWAYS tip a minimum of %20 if the service is good and food is bad. If food and service are both good I give %30 I was so mad I only tipped 8-9%. first time I’ve ever done that. I will say clean clean restaurant, food was definitely %100 worth it. Who knows maybe this was just a bus boy or something with dyed blonde hair because someone didn’t show up.

Came here last night as it was my 1st time. I have been wanting to try it as my friend and her husband come here all the time saying how good it is......
The woman who greeted us was not only hip but super sweet and courteous. ❤️?(Adore her)
This restaurant has been in business for over 30 years and I can see why!
We ordered the Burratta to start. They also give you fresh bread. (Hot fresh bread is always a plus...) For the main, we ordered the Bow Tie Pasta w/ prosciutto, shrimp and fresh spinach in a creamy marinara sauce. (they were out of spinach last night... but that's ok...) This Pasta was DELICIOUS!! We also ordered the Chicken Francese. AMAZING
Food was flavorful hot and fresh!
Drinks were really good too!!

While awaiting our food you could smell the garlic and food aromas in the air as plates were brought to their tables.... ☺️.
Will most definitely come back and will most likely become a regular!

This is a lovely restaurant gem to get a good lunch in a very casual atmosphere. The waiter was attentive and checked several times to make sure everything was okay. My friends and I enjoyed the food and we were glad to be able to sit and chat without feeling rushed. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area!

What an unexpected surprise, I'm glad I stopped in with my family.
Food was great and tasty.
Pas the owner was super courteous and warm. It was his approach that led us to have a great time.

This is one of my mother's favorite restaurants and I took her for an early dinner yesterday. She had the chicken marsala and I had the chicken sorrentino. Both were fabulous.

Update

So here we are again at Pastina. It’s my birthday and we came up from the city for a tried and true fabulous meal. It did not disappoint. The food was amazing and the ricotta cheesecake is the best I have ever had. Kudos to Tina for a consistent delicious meal in a wonderful atmosphere!

My family has dined at Pastina for thirty years. We live in Manhattan now but drive up for the most delicious meals! Most recently, I ordered a cod fish dish that was exquisite. So far superior than most restaurants in our Manhattan area. Additionally, the ricotta cheesecake is unmatched. Over the years, our dinners have never disappointed! Our NYC neighbors have no idea what they are missing. Thank you, Tina and staff!
