My dog was going into septic shock, her regular vet was out of town, so I came here after being referred by a lady at Bella SPCA, and they wouldn't even look at my dog because they don't take walk ins and she said IF they did, they would need $3-$4k upfront for the surgery I thought she would need. I would never take my pet to someone who is more concerned with money than the care of an animal. Found another place that did the surgery needed for less than $1k. Oh, and guess what, they initially said they didn't take walk ins either, until they saw how desperately my baby needed help.

Honest veterinarian management and staff. Penn South cares about my dog and my family. The facility is clean. They have never asked me to run unnecessary tests. I’ve remained a client for 8 years and I plan to continue visiting for any health concerns for my dog.

I take my dog to this clinic and they have always been great with her. (Well, correction, I TOOK my dog here, but after today I will not return).

**The person who answers the phone, honestly, has no business making direct contact with customers at all.**

Our neighborhood has the sweetest little stray kitty that all the neighbors take turns feeding, and also work together to provide outdoor shelter for her.
Today when it was my turn to put food outside for the kitty, I discovered she had come into heat and was surrounded by tomcats.
Although we all love her on this street, we do not want more of her.
And so I caught her, and called the vet clinic to arrange a spay for her.
I did not even ask about cost. Clearly if I call a vet clinic I am familiar with, I already know that Penn South is not a low cost clinic.
The person who answered the phone, assumed I am unable to pay (for reasons I cannot imagine), cut me off as I was trying to make an appointment for the kitty, and started trying to give me the number of a low cost clinic.
When I let her know that I am aware of the clinic (I have referred people there before when I see posts on Facebook) but it has a long waitlist and this little kitty does not have time to wait as she is in heat now, and was about to also state that I certainly do not qualify for low costs services, when she cut me off a second time.......
And said "Ma'am, female cats are in heat all the time".

1. Do not call this clinic if you do not want them to assume that you have no money for their services.
2. Female cats cycle the same as any other mammal and are NOT "in heat all the time" but this one is in heat today and is probably already pregnant from exposure to male cats before I found her this morning.

Very rude, very condescending, interrupts and does not listen to the customer's needs, and is making terrible assumptions about people, this woman.

DO NOT CALL HERE unless you want to be refused service by the person who answers the phone, and told where the nearest low cost clinic is.
