I need a little more time here before I give a review. I have been here once. I start Physical therapy tomorrow. Everything happened so fast, a referral was sent out, the next day I got a phone call because PT was approved, I was able to schedule all of my appointments for 6 weeks. I've been to a few places for PT, but I'm super excited about going here. I'll write another review in 6 weeks. So far I'm happy 😊

I had chosen Sitrin since my first choice wouldn't take non weight bearing patients. I got there on the eve of Friday 13th. I was moved three times due to coivid cases on that corrodor. They finally found another room in a non covid corridor. Most of the staff on board were dedicated and caring.
However they needed to be careful when they contract out for more aides who in most cases were lazy bossy and non caring and it set me back on healing. The first weekend I was forced to use the toilet since residents couldn't use bed pans unless they had dr orders. As a result since I had problems I was forced to put wt on my tibia. At night they told me to just go in my pants and ring for them. They'd answer my call and turn off button. I finally got changed after I and the bedding were soiled and I got hollered at. These contract aids accused me of lying and being hostile. PT should have found a way I could do some exercises in bed for a week or so preventing weight bearing rather than throwing me out of bed on Friday and leaving me to these contract aides. When I went to specialist the tibia fracture hadn't improved and I had to get another splint. I reiterated I was to be nwb for a few more wks so pt said they couldn't do any more. I was also shamed because I have urinary incontinence. Now that I'm in the hospital in Rochester they have adjusted my meds and have me on a purewick and helped me with my phobia. Sitrin also needs to hire a cook for their place because the food is mushy and nasty. I did enjoy the manicures and beauty salon.

My father n law is in there. His care has absolutely terrible. He hasn't been shaved or his hair combed. And one day he was left in pajamas all day. They claim he tested positive for COVID. The family wants him retested and there saying they don't do that. Also needs another swallow evaluation cause he's not eating. He isn't being taken care of at all. The family can't go to see him cause there saying he has COVID. My husband and I are in Florida and really stressed how we were unhappy with his care. Rebecca says she doesn't know what to say. Please look into this. We are very concerned. His name is Russell Hocking. Please let me know what is going to be done. Thanks

Was inpatient twice for TKR , the staff was very attentive, the physical therapy dept. was excellent , they made sure I went twice a day and sent someone in on weekends as well to do my PT. I was very happy with the cleanliness of my room. I dined in room only, and cook and staff made sure meals were there on time . Food was very good Nursing staff went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable

Staff that takes care of patients is great but the Social Worker discharge Care Team is AWFUL. They don't do their job. My stepdad was sent home, they had meds listed and no scripts, a follow up for an appointment with ZERO contact info other than an address with a CLOSED cardiologist location. So far 2 voicemail messages and no call back.

My grandmother has been in the rehab center at Sitrin twice within the year, and it is a great place. They cared for her well and the physical therapy people helped her so much. A month after shattering her hip, she was up and walking. A week after she fell and split her knee to the bone, she was up and walking. My only complaint is that they are unorganized and understaffed. They have left my grandmother in the bathroom for a half hour, they do not come when called upon (the nurse button puts a light on in front of the door that none of the staff members look at). Food is okay, but food staff is always rushing. It's is a very homey feeling, but only for a temporary time. Residents are always bored and sitting in the halls staring off into space, waiting for company. It is great for your loved ones to temporarily heal. There is a building at the bottom of the hill for permanent residents, they could be different. I've never been down there, just reviewing the rehab center.

It's gone down hill over the years. If you give your loved ones new cloths remove the tags as the staff will steal and return items. Expect staff to not care about meal preparation recommendations by doctor. Puree everything? The carrots didn't say pureed so I didn't.... Lost hearing aids, clothing, toe guards, anything of value. Don't waste your time filling out the clothing inventory sheets. They are meaningless. Some staff is friendly. Most staff hate there job and it shows. Don't expect the social worker to do her job. She won't fill out paperwork and often gives bad advise when it comes to answering the paperwork. Expect Medicaid and other services to have you correct those answers the social worker gave you. Just waiting on the Masonic Temple to have an opening. So sad since sitting used to be great.
