Our favorite dog kennel in Austin! We’ve been through a few with our two dogs, but they love this place the most. And we do too!

God bless the staff who run it, they are incredible folks who truly love the animals they watch over.

Also, this is the only place that my attached schnauzer has NO problems going to. I hand them his leash and he trots off with them without a glance back towards me… It kinda hurts but I know it’s a good sign that means he loves it here hahah

The two dogs we board here are two fixed males: one large size, a senior border collie mix- and a younger, medium size mini schnauzer mix. They both get the love and attention they deserve.

TLDR: It’s so nice to leave our dogs here and travel without stressing. We know they’re being so well taken care of!!!

After googling “special needs dog boarding” for our shadow chasing, reactive dog, we found SkyBlue. I’ve never felt calmer boarding our dog! They remember who Posey is every time we call, send the cutest pictures, and even keep her in a kennel without direct sunlight so she can’t chase shadows. Kenneled and groomed my 2 dogs here and had a great experience!! My dogs even got out of the car without trouble when we went back and they ate their food with no problem during their stay, which speaks wonders about the staff here! My eldest dog, my grumpy old man, is a realllly hard dog to groom, but their groomer Jennifer handled him like a champ! So going back for all my kennel and grooming needs. Oh, and there is a lot of land for the dogs to run around on!

My trainer recommended SkyBlue. I have a feisty german shepherd and they handle him wonderfully! The staff is amazing and so helpful! The website to book your appointment is user friendly! And bonus, you can get your pets groomed before you picked them up! It is the perfect fit for me and my GSD. Highly recommend!!!

Had a very great experience here. My dog gets very nervous in places she’s not familiar with. The staff knew exactly how to handle her & seemed knowledgeable on how to approach nervous/reactive dogs. My dog seemed so happy when I picked her up & I could tell that she enjoyed her time here. Will be a returning customer again (:

I love SkyBlue Kennels. My puppies have the biggest smiles when they are there. It does not matter if it playtime or bath time, Khaleesi and Bombay love being there. I am glad I found a place where my dogs are loved. Julie Jones (owner) is dedicated to making my dogs experience at SkyBlue amazing. Since they have opened, I have boarded, day camped, groomed and done advanced training for my fur babies. Each time they have exceeded my expectations. They take time to talk with you and understand the needs of my dogs and have a great understanding of my dogs needs. Love them. See pictures of happy dogs.

We love SkyBlue Kennels! We have been using them to board our two pups occasionally over the past 2 years. One of my dogs is particularly reactive towards other dogs. I love that SkyBlue welcomes dogs of all temperaments (as long as they’re not aggressive towards people!). My dogs are super happy when they are there and the staff I so responsive and helpful. You can tell they love what they do!

We have been using SkyBlue anytime we need to leave our Cane Corso, Thor, in loving hands when we go out of town. The team takes great care of him! They also do well at communicating with us during his stay to keep us informed if there are changes to him, such as his cherry eye popping up---which we appreciate. Thor knows when we are going and he gets excited when we pull onto the property. We've left him elsewhere a time or 2 and he'd seem so sad when we picked him up but not when we pick him up from SkyBlue. Booking is easy w/ the portal, just make sure you give yourself plenty of time b/c they fill up fast. We needed to go out of town for Thanksgiving this past year and they placed us on a wait list, luckily, there was a cancellation and we were able to make our trip! What I love most about this business is that they do not discriminate breeds, sizes, or unfixed. Being that Thor is a Cane Corso, he is quite big. He's also in tact. This rules him out at most other establishments. But he is also a non-aggressive, obedient, sweet boy and I'm glad this kennel has given us a chance to show that & that we can trust them with his care. <3
