Steve is the best. My wife and I had a wedding to attend and Steve let us take our Shih Tzu along while he watched and took very good care of her. I can't think of a more caring and trustworthy guy to than Steve. Thanks again Steve for your service and care. Just another word About Steve. We also went downstate to visit family the next week and Steve watched Lexi again for two more days. You can't go wrong with Steve watching your dog family member. We were so fortunate to find Steve when we went on vacation to Acadia with our three month old puppy. Steve was very easy to communicate with, so flexible, so nurturing towards the pup, and very engaged with supporting her training and growth. Visiting Acadia for a camping trip and was interested in doing some hikes that aren’t dog friendly. Reached out to Steve asking if he had day care availability for our 6 month old Sheltie. He responded right away and was communicative and professional. He gave a tour of his home where Toby would be spending time when he wasn’t on walks and asked great questions about training habits so he could stay consistent if needed. He was very caring, friendly, and Toby had an amazing time! Highly recommend!

We are so grateful to have found Steve. This was our first trip to Maine and our 2 year old golden retriever, Josie, joined us for all of our hikes and ventures since Bar Harbor and the surrounding areas are extremely dog friendly. However, we were looking for a trustworthy option for dog daycare while we completed the iron rung hikes in Acadia National Park (no dogs allowed).
Steve was responsive, professional, and made us feel very comfortable leaving our sweet Josie behind in a new place - after meeting him, we knew she would be in great hands.
Steve verified medical records, provided comprehensive instructions for pick-up and drop-off, and provided interactive care for Josie while we were gone. During a short 6 hour daycare visit, she was treated to two walks, a play date with another dog Steve was sitting, snuggles, and hand-feeding when she wasn’t showing much interest in her food.
Steve absolutely loves dogs and cared for Josie as though she was his own. We will absolutely be back next time we’re in town - thank you again, Steve!

While vacationing and hiking in the Acadia area, I needed a safe and friendly place for my dog to stay while I went for a golf outing. Finding Steve's was fabulous! I did not want to leave my dog in a kennel all day, as I would only be gone a few hours. Also, I did not feel comfortable with putting my dog in a kennel, he has never been in that type of environment. Steve was very accommodating to my schedule, was professional in regards to asking for vet / vaccination info, inquired about my dog's personality, behavior towards other dogs, and likes and dislikes. On the day of the drop off, I was a little nervous, but when we arrived, Steve was friendly, and took time to explain what Barkley would be doing while I was away - walks and play time with another friendly dog. Barkley hardly noticed I left! Steve was also kind enough to send me a text to let me know how Barkley was doing. I would highly recommend his services!!!

Don't hesitate to call Steve! He was wonderful with our dog. My husband and I were visiting Bar Harbor and wanted to bring our dog along. Since we only had her 5 weeks, we didn't want to leave her in a kennel and risk any feelings of abandonment. We were looking for a calm home setting. Steve provided just that. When we arrived, he put us right at ease and was very thorough.

He was kind, caring, and extremely knowledgeable about dogs. I felt comfortable leaving my pup with him. He was willing to work with our plans. We wanted to pick up our dog, hike Acadia, and then drop her off in the evening. We also left her with Steve for the full day so we could explore some trails that would not be dog-friendly.

Steve's competent and gentle care of our dog made us feel confident in leaving our dog with him. I know our pup would love to visit again, and I wouldn't hesitate to take her to Steve's house!

Steve is terrific. We were vacationing in Bar Harbor and needed a place for our standard poodle to stay overnight so that we could bike in Acadia for a day. We found Steve's service through the other reviewers online. Steve was very responsive on the phone and by email. He gave us clear directions to din him and he asked lots of questions about our dog. Requiring us to bring her paperwork was an additional assurance. We felt very comfortable leaving our dog with Steve. He gave her a number of walks and some time off leash in a fenced yard. His price for the 24 hours was very reasonable. We will definitely use Steve's services again next year when we go to Maine and we would recommend him whole heartedly.
