I’ve have been going to this office over 20 years. Doctor Swearigean has delivered three of my children. I have been diagnosed with hives at this office. Yesterday I went to renew my fmla paperwork and since I didn’t have an out break at the time of my appointment Jenny refused to fill out my paperwork. After being with this office over 20 years and having a serious condition this was definitely a slapped in my face. But it’s also not the first time I have heard about her doing such a thing and having an attitude. Definitely finding me a new doctor office.

It took 2 months, 3 voicemails, and 5 calls to hear anything back about lab work that was done in December 2024 and it wasn’t because anyone called me back. I still had to call, ask for help, wait on hold for 15 minutes, and was only told about part of my results in less than a minute with no explanation, no treatment plans, no referrals, no follow ups… Nothing. “You have this.” That was all.

I will probably never go here again and it’s really frustrating because until these last two months, I never had an issue here.

Very friendly staff! Dr. Swearingen delivered my son and is currently our family doctor. Dr. Swearingen is a very knowledgeable doctor. He also has a good ear for listening to patient concerns and symptoms. His office is used for resident doctors with the school of Osteopathy.

I highly recommend Dr Swearingen and his staff! They were great to me my whole pregnancy, I now use him as my primary doctor! I have absolutely nothing bad to say about any of them!

I’m very upset with the staff in this office. I didn’t get to speak or meet with Dr. Swearingen. BUT I spoke with his staff over the phone explaining that I had missed my cycle, atleast 6/7 POSITIVE pregnancy tests. She tells me first she’d have to charge me $10 for a pregnancy test then we would make the appointment from there. I get up to the doctors office, tell the UN-FRIENDLY staff once again whats going on. She shows me the bathroom, once I got through there was somebody else’s urine already in the window. I ignored it and sat mine right beside it. I go out to wait not even 10 minutes and she comes to tell me that my test was negative and didn’t know what to tell me. DIDN’T OFFER to give blood work, no questions, nothing. Just shrugged her shoulders. I leave the doctor and immediately go get another test to FIND OUT THAT I AM ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE!!!!! So not only was my time wasted but so was my money, will not be back.

Trust your doctor is number one this is what people do until they give u medicine that hurts u .My husband seen swearingen in Nov of 21 he gave him medicine he was allergic to sent him to er he stayed over night the following March 1,2022 he gave him the same medication he went into allergic shock then cardiac arrest lot of damage he went with out oxygen brain damage he decides to send him to Grandview because of his heart but he already knew damage was done he got to Grandview started having seizures in there for 2 months then sent him to long term I finally brought him home on hospice took care of him for 13months he past on July 25,2023 My husband Joseph McDonald never deserved any of this I hope this doctor remember's his name for the rest of his life

Sad to see the Doctor's office show such blatant disregard for the Confederate Americans and or Southerners he serves by allowing his public viewing board at the front desk note Michael King's birthday but not General Robert E Lee's birthday, a holiday we all celebrate in Alabama. It is enough to see the reverse discrimination on the national level of all things Southern but you just don''t expect it on the physician level.
