The Dog Spot is amazing! Melinda did such an amazing job training my very stubborn, but lovable, Great Pyrenees. They truly treat Griffey like a part of the furry family and are genuinely happy to see him, and me, each time we arrive. They’ve taught me so much about his breed and why he “does what he does.” Griffey loves the doggy daycare and has even stayed in a suite for a weekend when this mom needed a weekend getaway! Thank you to everyone at The Dog Spot for making my big guy feel loved and special!

So just lost my 16 yr old doggie and I am trying to adopt but not in a hurry. I am the mom of a very sweet pitt. I know many are leary with this breed but my boy has been very socialized and I was so worried after his sister passed, he's never been alone and I was so afraid of depression.
I visited. Really felt super comfortable. I also tried another local daycare and let me say, it was night and day.
The Dog Spot cares.
They learn your dog.
They don't just shove the dogs together. They purposely take the time to learn your dog and group accordingly. My dog is older and doesn't want to be around 20 different dogs at once and thankfully, Ed, the owner, recognizes that.
He was so happy tonight. I haven't seen him like this in weeks.
I don't remember a resent time I had to stop him from over KISSING!
Job well done and my heartfelt thanks you,for providing him a safe area and friends.

Very accommodating and they take great care of my pup!! Highly recommend for all those pet lovers like me if you need some doggy daycare!! Basic obedience training is a great addition with a team that works on correcting all my puppy’s bad habits.

We were lied to.
Our dog received no enrichment activities as described and paid for, was outdoors twice a day. Once in the morning and once in the afternoon. We were told she would be involved in fun playgroups for a large portion of every morning and afternoon.We paid for extra enrichment activities and playtime with other dogs. My dog also has a prescribed medication that was not given. All the medication we sent in was sent back, in the bottom of her belongings. Thankfully, the staff person that we spoke with when we picked her up was unable to lie to us, like the new owner did when we picked up the time before last.
I will no longer board my dog here and would never again recommend The Dog Spot for boarding.
It may have been different if I were given honest and trusted information up front. I mean seriously, how can I trust them if they can lie so easily.

The Dog Spot's Training was an answered prayer.

The Dog Spots’ (re) potty training of my puppy and me for that matter was an answer to a desperate prayer. A stray puppy showed up on my doorstep in Chicago on October 17th 2021. I searched for the puppy’s family for weeks but to no avail. Within a few days of fostering the puppy whom we eventually named Safari because she was on a journey when she found my boyfriend and me, we discovered that she was probably set free/abandoned because she had a severe urination problem. She urinated everywhere ALL THE TIME. When I say every everywhere all the time I mean everywhere all the time; in the house, the car, her crate and anywhere and everywhere outside; the stairs, sidewalk, garage, grass etc. It felt like I was cleaning up urine from the time I woke up until the time I went to bed. I would keep her outside for an hour or more and she would come in the house and immediately urinate. It was stressful for me, her, my senior dog and it put a strain on my relationship. I was an emotional wreck.
I consulted several veterinarians and specialists. After expensive exams including ultrasounds and bloodwork the doctors concluded that nothing was wrong with her physiologically but suggested a medicine that might help her but could possible cause her to have hypertension not to mention it cost $55 per month. In the meantime I resorted to putting her in diapers which kept me from having to clean the house but I was washing reusable diaper every day.
Some people suggested that the problem was psychological so I consulted a trainer before leaving Chicago. Fast forward to February 2021 moved to Grayson, GA into my brand new, just built dream house. The fresh paint and new carpet smell was heavenly but didn’t last long. Safari was still peeing everywhere! I was at my wits end and had made the difficult decision to rehome her. I was hoping to find a loving home where she could live outdoors and her constant urination wouldn’t be an issue. I searched high and low for a rescue or someone to adopt her but to no avail. In the meantime I came across an ad for The Dog Spot. I consulted with them in a last ditch effort resolve Safari’s urinating issue and to keep her because I didn’t want to re-home her.
The training conducted by The Dog Spot was a literal miracle. It was tough but worth it. I say tough because the training was as much about me as much as it was about Safari. After several weeks of consistently following their plan, Safari was no longer peeing anywhere and everywhere! It was a miracle. Fast forward to a year later, she still has accidents but most of the time it’s is my fault for not being consistent with her. I do believe that her bladder is smaller than normal or she does not have normal urinary control however the problem is nowhere near what it used to be. The Dog Spot’s Training taught her that pee peeing outside is better than inside. I would give The Dog Spot 10 stars if I could. I can’t thank them enough for helping to keep my fur family together. Little Miss Safari is a happy girl now and so am I.

I have a two year old English Springer that is very high energy. He goes to Ashley hills twice a week, but it is a drive for us. The Dog Spot is much closer to our home so we decided to give it a try. Apparently you’re supposed to call before you enter the building? The first time I came to get information about the place, I walked in and the lady at the desk was so mad I walked in and didn’t call. She made me go back outside and wait in my car until she waved me in. I told her I didn’t see any signs to call before coming in. The customer service was severely lacking but I ignored that because it was so close to our house. Everytime I arrived in the morning, the employees were in their car smoking cigarettes. Mind you this is after they are open. My dog Jack went probably 4 times. My husband and I started to feel uncomfortable when we realized their “outdoor area” only consists of concrete. No grass at all. Doesn’t seem very sanitary. Their concrete outdoor play area is small as well. The last straw was when we picked him up and had a scratch under his eye and wreaked of urine. My dog is potty trained and never has accidents. Either another dog peed on him or he didn’t get taken out at all while he was there for 8 hours. He also would come home with a ton of energy, compared to his normal daycare which he comes home exhausted from. Needless to say we drive a little farther for better quality and comfortability for our dog.
