I live in the neighborhood and I’m SO happy we found wayside inn! My pup Alfie has the time of his life there! I love that it’s local, intimate, affordable and they have the best yard for the dogs to hang or run around in. As well as be inside. Aiden and Lacey are dog lovers - this is clear 🙂 but they’re also very nice, communicative with pics and videos and I truly trust them with my boy! It’s been so fun to see Alfie thrive while in their hands! Highly recommend!

This is truly a neighborhood treasure where the service experience feels like it was designed by the dogs themselves.

A cozy home with soft places to sleep everywhere (no kennels). A huge shady yard for romping and reclining. Freedom to move between inside and outside based on mood, energy, or the presence of a squirrel. Dog-loving owners/humans who really get to know the individual needs of each "guest" and love on them all day (and night), while still managing the "pack" with order, discipline, and reliable routines.

Our dog Pepino can't wait to get over there to see Aidan, Lacey, and the rest of his pals. Great for daycare or overnight boarding. 10/10

NOTE: There is another/old 1-star review that calls this a "Dangerous area". Nothing could be further from the truth - this must have been a bad joke. The Wayside in is on a lovely shaded street right in the heart of the beautiful Deep Eddy/South Tarrytown neighborhood. Couldn't be safer!

Suzanne Rose used to be the owner and her previous assistant, Aiden, took over after she passed. We miss Suzanne dearly but Aiden and Lacey have stepped in and done an amazing job. Our dogs are still just as thrilled to go over and we always feel welcomed, even if it’s very last minute. I can’t tell you how helpful it has been to be able to send our dogs to the same place they know and love.

We love The Wayside Inn! My pups always have such a great time playing and zooming around the spacious yard. There is plenty of room inside and out, and my pups come home happy from a long day playing and are always worn out. They are so excited when we pull up and practically jump out of the car! Thank you Aidan and Lacey for continuing this, Suzanne would be proud and we all appreciate you!

We have been taking our fur babies to the Wayside in for over 6 years. There’s many reasons, and the first is because my dogs love it. They are always excited to go and come home pooped from a day of play and fun. Wayside is convenient, easy to schedule and do business with, and pays great attention to any special needs of your dogs. And you get real time action shots to see how they are doing- which is always having a good time. I highly recommend!

Our lab Winnie LOVES coming to Wayside Inn. They have a perfect outdoor area for dogs to play and run around, and a cozy indoor space with doggy beds. She’s one and has a ton of energy, it’s so nice to watch videos of her running around playing all day!

The Wayside Inn is hands down the best dog daycare in Austin! Aidan and Lacey have created a space that’s not only safe and reliable but genuinely full of care and heart. My Frenchie Oslo absolutely loves spending time there and always comes home happy and well-cared-for. The setting feels more like a cozy home than a kennel, which gives me total peace of mind. Their attention to detail and clear communication make it easy to trust them completely. I couldn’t ask for a better place for my pup! 10/10 recommend!

If we tell our dog he's going to the Wayside Inn (we call it "Uncle Aidan's" after one of the two owners), he howls with happiness, sprinting all over the house to get us moving and in the car for drop off. He LOVES it! Everything at the Wayside Inn is managed with such precision even thought the vibe is wholly laid back (the dogs move freely between the backyard and the inside where they doze on couches and pillows and blankets as they choose). As a bonus, not only is our dog exhausted and happy when he comes home, but he's even better behaved. I don't know how the owners do it; this place is doggy and owner heaven!
