Kristin is amazing! She has helped me bring order to our young Great Pyrenees who I affectionately called ( notice that’s past tense!) “Crazy Train” (Buddy). I love him dearly but I had gotten to the point I never wanted him near me when I’d go outside. I dreaded going out to get in the car for work. Buddy would jump all over me and I’d instantly be covered from head to toe in long white hair and dirty paw prints. I couldn’t work outside because he gave me no personal space. I decided to give Kristen a call and our lives have honestly changed! Within 15 minutes, Buddy was already behaving better! I was completely shocked. In just two lessons ( a week apart), our dog has learned to walk on a long and short leash, to sit when I stop walking, to wait for me to invite him through a doorway, to sit and stay, to “leave it”, to not jump on me or get in my space, to stay off of the porch swing, and to give our little dog the space that he needs when he is outside. You won’t regret asking for Kristen’s guidance and expertise! She’ll honestly help change your life with your pet.

Kristin is absolutely amazing!!! Before she got one foot in our door, she already had our dogs in control with their barking! We are definitely glad we had our neighbors recommended her. Our household has gone from OMG stop barking at every little thing!! to omg how quiet is this We are able to use the leash on Tater without him running crazy, he’s learned to listen. Ginger has learned she doesn’t always need to be my protector. We sincerely can’t say enough about her!!

We adopted Ayla as a young adult. She was terrifying to all of our house guests. Train in Love did some home visits once a week for about a month. When I called Kristin to find out what she could do for us, I hated my dog. I was constantly yelling at him because I didn’t know how to get him under control and anytime I was trying to work on something for our farm he was an absolute nuisance. I had little hope that we would be able to keep him. I called Kristin thinking it would cost a million dollars and probably wouldn’t work. She listened to my concerns without judgment for how I felt about my dog and explained the services she provided that were completely reasonable. Less than I thought actually! When I got my dog back he was absolutely a different dog! Before there was no way I would have him in my house, barking at everything and chewing up Amazon packages, but as I type this he is laying calmly on his cushion next to me while I work and behaving wonderfully. An absolute miracle. I can’t thank her enough!

I did the 3 week train and board for my pit bull, Winry. While Winry didn’t have any major behavioral issues, she needed some fine tuning (jumping, recall, anxiety, waiting for my lead on a leash, etc.) that required a consistency I did not have to lay the training foundation, especially when we were in the process of selling my house and moving into an apartment. Kristin did amazing with her. Many of my friends that knew Winry before her training tell me she is like a new dog. I’ve been able to walk her off lead even, which would have gave me great anxiety and no way would have thought possible before. Winry had an issue with growling while playing as well. Though I know that is her just playing, because she is a pit bull I was very anxious about how others would react to her doing so given our apartment has a dog park. While Winry still would growl while playing when she came back, I am proud to say that with the tools that Kristin gave me and the foundation she laid, Winry can now play as much and hard as she wants without the vocalization.

Post train and board, Kristin did two follow-ups with us, one a couple weeks after Winry came home and one at just short of a year after. Both times were more so to make sure I’m staying trained and consistent rather than anything to do with Winry’s ability or training. Again, Kristin was amazing and reassuring in both of our growth and capabilities. I’ve even used the tools she has taught me to help redirect other people’s dogs in a more effective manner. I would most certainly recommend to anyone and use Train in Love again.
