I don’t understand all the negative reviews. I see Dr. Giovanne in the red suite and she is so amazing. I cannot say enough good things about her. My son goes to pediatrics and they go above and beyond. Dr. Cecil was excellent in explaining stuff and providing resources for us as my son is autistic. The referall clerk goes out if her way to get those done as well. I guess if I had to say one negative thing it’d be the reception staff. I’ve been forgotten twice by the receptionist and had to remind her I’m there despite filling out the check-in paper. Also, don’t expect a call or message back on the patient portal. It’s like they don’t even check it. All in all I really like UMC and would recommend it to anyone.

STAY AWAY, especially if you need daily medication and need prescriptions and refills sent in. Pharmacists even say this place is horrible to deal with.

Yeah it’s no wonder this place has a 2stars on here. I’m honestly surprised it has that. If you are thinking of coming here DONT. You will not have anything done in a timely manner or right. Some of the drs seem great but as a whole staff they can’t get a single thing done. I nor the pharmacist can ever get them to send in our refills for prescriptions. They even have written the prescriptions wrong leading to us running out before we should have. I call and call and call and glean never get a single person that can or is willing to help out at all with this. It is ducking ridiculous for a health staff to operate in this way. These are daily medications that need to be taken and they can’t even get a prescription sent in. Even the pharmacist says often how awful this place is to deal with. STAY AWAY! Hopefully they get shut down

If possible find another place for any health needs. You are not a priority here. Also note that this place has contracts with the UofA so you will interact with a different student each appointment.

The black lady at the front desk in the pediatrics was very rude when I told her “someone in the pediatrics department made a mistake making my kids’ appointments because they doubled an appointment for one kid instead of one appointment for 2 kids” she then stated very rudely “ who made a mistake “ I said “ one of you that makes the appointments did” she said “ well it wasn’t me honey” . VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!

Dr. Lavender delivered my twins at 33 weeks on the 22nd. I thank GOD for her . My experience was nothing short of excellent . If it wasn’t for her and the team assigned to care for me and my girls, I’m honestly not sure of the outcome . May god forever walk with Dr.Lavender she truly is a blessing .

As a OB GYN patient my experience here was terrible. I scheduled an appointment in June of this year to be seen for my annual check up and medical concerns that I’ve recently had. They told me in June that the earliest I could be seen would be in October so I scheduled the first thing available in October. They called me in October and told me that they needed to push my appointment back further into November. It’s November, the day of my appointment and I have yet to seen by a doctor. The doctor was called to deliver a baby which is understandable that was out of anyone’s control. I was told that I could wait 30minutes until the doctor returned or reschedule and the possibility to reschedule anytime soon would not happen. I asked to see another doctor and they told me that I would have to reschedule my appointment with any doctor there. They do not value time management or their patients health and I am not here for it. My health is VERY important to me and I WILL NOT continue to be put on the back burner by ANY doctor.
