I/my dog wasn't one of their customers/patients. My 7 month old Brittney had an accident while running and playing and got caught by a length of spring wire sticking out of the ground. The wire penetrated his leg and tore him up, needing stitches. Not being near our own vet, I used g00gle maps to locate the nearest one and called them with one hand while using direct pressure to reduce his bleeding with the other.
Explaining our situation, they told me to bring him right in - we were about 10 minutes away.
Upon arrival, I needed to carry my dog inside, but despite having multiple surguries already scheduled, they were ready and waiting with someone at the door for us. We were directed to straight into the examination room where a vet tech was immediately available. She kept him calm and secure on the table while the veterinarian began to examine him, and I was then able to provide his medical history and clean up. They took him straight back, and they provided me a breakdown of what services & expenses would approximately be before I left, along with an estimated time when I could pick him up later that day.

They followed up with me twice - 1st was to update me on his status after they finished cleaning and suturing his large leg wound and to advise he was beginning to wake back up from his anesthesia. The 2nd was to let me know he was ready to be picked up.
When I arrived back, they spent time with me to describe everything they saw, inspected, and did for him. We talked in detail about options they considered throughout and how they came to the decisions they did. As a 25+ year EMT, I recognized I would've been comfortable with their professionalism and level of care if we had been talking about my child instead of my dog. They provided detailed aftercare instructions and medications for his comfort and care.
I highly recommend them.

We brought our 2 large dogs here for the first time and everything went amazing! Choosing a vet can be a stressful process since you hear so many horror stories, but our vet in Grain Valley had retired/closed down and we decided we needed to find one in our current city of Liberty. We had a great relationship with our previous vet and I knew he really cared about each dog we brought to him so it was important we found that same relationship with a new vet. All my worries were put to rest when we met DVM Davinne Glenn. She immediately picked up on the needs of our dogs, especially one that can be a bit more timid, untrusting, and standoffish than the other. The purpose of our visit was to update shots for both, have a general checkup, check out a lump and mole on one pup, and get them both back on Heartgard. Everything went great! DVM Glenn immediately knew the mole and lump was nothing for us to be worried about but told us to keep watching it incase things changed. She was not in a rush to get us in and out, but instead made sure we knew we weren’t just a number to her and she would take as much time as we needed to answer all our questions and give the best care. Everyone in the office was warm and caring. The whole staff went above and beyond and made you feel like family. I’m so glad we decided to come here and look forward to many more great interactions in the future!

My pup had issues with low blood sugar and I had never been here before. I had been referred. They were so attentive with my yorkie and they just loved her. She stayed over the weekend and even with the high end provided, it didn’t even total that amount. It was slightly lower. They were super informative about her condition and provided recommendations and advice on the best way to try and prevent it from happening again. All of the staff members that I personally got to speak to and had been involved with her care, were amazing and kind. Then my near 4 years old morkie had been attacked by a pittie. They were able to get him in same day of calling and they said that he didn’t need to get X-rays. Felt that nothing is broken. They cleaned his two puncture wounds. I watched as they were so gentle with him and considerate of the pain he was going through. Dr Glenn had been the vet that handled my yorkie and Dr Rucker handled my morkie.

What amazed me the most besides the concern they had for my furbabies, is that neither time did they try to overcharge. With my morkie, the doctor did not say they must do X-rays. He assessed the wounds and truly felt that he was lucky. It was comforting to know that they weren’t just in business to charge people all kinds of money for services they felt wasn’t needed.

I cannot recommend Veterinary Center of Liberty enough! They really care about their patients that come through the door and I’ve never seen anything but love for both of mine by all the staff members I personally interacted with there.

After we adopted our cat, Callie, her eyes turned red, goopy, and could barely open. We took her to our old vet numerous times and each time they dismissed me saying has allergies. They wouldn’t test her for anything or give her any immunizations. They did give her steroids, which did absolutely nothing (except make her more irritable). They made me feel like a crazy person for second-guessing them and going back for so many appointments. I’ve had cats since I was born, and I knew this wasn’t “allergies”. None of our other cats (we have four) had anything like this going on. So I took her to The Veterinary Center of Liberty. Dr. Glen sat in the room and talked with me and addressed all my concerns, she could see this wasn’t allergies. After doing some testing, they diagnosed her with a virus and put her on a regime of medication. They have called me twice since her appointment to check in and see how she is doing.

I am so thankful she feels better and got the treatment she needed. If you are looking for a vet, I can’t recommend them enough. They are truly the best.

Dr. Rowan is the best, I have used this clinic for over 25 years and wouldn't trust my fur babies at any other place. Thanks for giving so much care for my Dixie and Trapper. Dr Rowan and the Tech today did a phenomenal job.

I can’t believe I haven’t submitted a review before now. We will be customers for as long as we live in the kc area. Dr. Grow and her team saved my Bernie’s life after a horrible pitbull attack on 3/6/23. He was dragged from under our fence into a neighbors yard and his neck was ripped ear to ear. We rushed in with no appointment and they got him back to surgery immediately. They allowed for animal control to come in and take photos to hold the other dog’s owner accountable. They stitched him back up and gave us plenty of instructions for follow up care. The bill was reasonable for what he needed. He had two drains, one of which came out too early. They had him come in and removed the remaining piece with no charge, and removed his ~40 stitches a week later. My boy is as good as new and I’m so thankful for Vet Center of Liberty! They’ve also seen my other dog and my cat now, and I have no plans of going elsewhere.
