Staff was AMAZING and helpful. Everyone was super professional but all are definite animal lovers. The process was easy to adopt our new family member and I was processed pretty quickly. They even had free leashes/harnesses to new adoptees which I thought was such a nice thing to have. As a visitor to the county, it was great to see how nice it was. Walton County is lucky to have such a nice staff and place for rescues.

I am looking for my 2 1/2 Shih-Poo I hope someone has turned her in here. She was recently washed and does not have her collar on. She is white and black with a red brown tint. She is well trained and very friendly. We just moved in the area so she does not know her way around.

We adopted a male dog named Booker , very nice folks.. would like to say thank you to the staff for allowing us to help this guy have a home. He seemed to be a very happy guy when we pick him up. I would say they take very good care of the animals here from what I can tell. Thanks guys.

I have 2 dogs that went missing together. Only reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of 5 is because they only had one of them. They lied telling me the other dog was found on the side of the road dead. But I got a call from a property owner that says the dog has been on his property so I was able to get both dogs back but they didn't have to lie to me and make me be in panic about my other dog possibly being dead.

I just left the walton county animal shelter and cried all the way home. I was the first applicant for River, the yorkie that is up there right now, however they skipped me and made me feel like a liar because I put the landlords name as the property owner of my house instead of the company name. They didn’t call me or anything. I drove up there with my hole family hoping to meet River instead I get this heartache. I’m so upset. People there were so rude to me.

Why are you putting dogs down within 24 hours of them showing up at the shelter, just because they are stressed? That is completely inhumane. Like this dog below that was absolutely murdered not for space but just because the dog had stress.

I was late getting there but they still took care of me.(It was their lunchtime.) The guys that worked around there came up while I was visiting the dog. They both seemed equally happy to see each other and they kept saying what a happy boy he was. And he's now my happy boy! Meet Diesel, Vin Diesel, I'll be calling him Vinny. We took a 3 mile hike today and we both loved it. Thanks to Walton Co. animal control!
